All Welcome
How long had he been gone? A week? Two? Perhaps a month? He lost track of time after he left. Were they still there? But one question remained priority over the rest. Would he make it? A wound that he guessed would heal without scarring bled like crazy around his hind quarters. If he could get it the required attention.

It was a memory of what had happened. How he took vengeance for his past. And how he felt guilt afterwards. He had absndoned the wolves of Silvertip all because his deepest darkest grudge got the best of him.

He limped on, keeping himself level as to not topple over. Desperately trying to keep quiet, holding back any pained whines. He wanted to make it back to Silvertip. He had to. For he made a promise he intended to keep.

Amber was on a mission. She knew a general direction of her sister, but that was it. If she had to check every pack in the Teekon Wilds, she would. Spring was here, she knew it.
Blood broke her attention, her hip-swishing walk, the metallic smell of it pricking her nose and drawing her towards the wounded male. As his pale coat came into view, an easy, innocent smile plastered across her ebony maw.
      "Hello there."
Her voice was light, high toned, and warm; inviting, even, and the offer of help was clear in her sapphire eyes. She knew little of herbs and the such, but she did know how to clean and dress a wound.

Chaska flinched at the warm voice near him. Yet made no acknowledgement and kept limping forth. Unlike his old self, he could afford any distractions. Not even a single glance in their direction, despite the nagging from his leg for some aid. Anything to ease the pain. No, he kept going on. Many other things were on his mind

And then the thought of them getting in his way when he did not greet them back came to mind. That would certainly slow him. So while he went on, he gave a quick word, "Hello"  while still not looking back.

Amber hesitated as the male just kept on going, but actually took his monotonous "hello" as a signal they would walk and talk. Perhaps it was a bit because she wanted people to remember her, or just because the queenly woman wasn't going to let someone walk away from her.
"Im Amber. You are?"
The ebony woman strode along beside him, ears perked and tail wagging. Her bold blue eyes were scanning around them, but she still faced him.

Chaska thought that was it. He expected that a hello was all that was needed. He thought wrong. He jumped when she was suddenly beside him, almost falling over in surprise in addition to the pain from his wounded leg. "I don't have time for this." Had he had time, he would have gone into introductions and 'how are you's, but instead he quickened his pace with his ears bending forward. He needed to get home.

With a snort and a lsh of her tail, the ebony woman fell back and turned away. There would be no befriending this one, clearly, and so be it. Spring was the real one she wanted to find, and so she would. She carried unknowingly on towards Silver Creek and her sister, and into the ranks of her alpha sister.
