The man was hidden away in his den when the bright rays of the morning sun warmed the side of his coat and hit his eyes. The contact forced him to awaken, staying in one place before stretching his limbs to start the day.

Leo stepped out of his den, looking from side to side before climbing out. He walked forward, searching for the cheiftess. He had not seen her in days and started to become worried. She wouldn't leave for no reason would she? No, that wasn't like her. Maybe he'd just been searching in the wrong places?

Jolon couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, couldn't think without feeling the shame and anger drowning him slowly. He had not faced another of the tribe since that night he had tried to take the little dragoness. He was laying somewhere to the side of the main part of their home, a paw covering his mad eyes. He just wanted it to end- end it all.

He ignored the footfalls of someone nearby, staying perfectly still and slowing down his breath. He hoped he wouldn't be discovered like this.

Unlucky for Jolon, the closer he became to the older male, the more his scent drifted along his nose. Leo had not spoken with his fellow tribe member in awhile and now was a good chance to catch up. Maybe he knew the whereabouts of Asterr as well.

He trotted up to the dark furred male, tail slowly swaying side to side. Before him he lay, paw covering his face. "Jolon?" he said, head leaning towards the figure, "Are you sleeping?" Leo stood there, awaiting an answer.

If only Ezimette had stayed... He hated her so much for leaving, yet loved her so much it was almost insane. Hell, this was insanity. If this wasn't insanity, someone had to define it for him. If she had never left, they would have a family by now. He could be a daddy, he knew she had wanted it, but it was all too late now. Yet, if she was to return, he could see himself falling for the same trick again and again. He was desperate for love, yet too scared to start anything serious. He didn't know what he needed anymore.

As his name was called by a young boy's voice, he let out a low rumbling sound that was not yet a growl but also not a happy greeting. It was enough to answer the question. He wasn't sleeping, how could he with all these voices? Tears stained his paw that was still shielding his eyes from the light and the sight of a boy he had once considered to be family.

He stood up straight as a rumble came from the pile of fluff. Well, he wasn't sleeping, that's for sure. So if he wasn't sleeping, well, what was wrong with him?

Leo cautiously moved to face him standing a respectable distance away from him. The man took the rumble as a warning to stay away. He didn't want to risk being snapped at or angering the male.

Leo lay down before him, placing his head on his paws. His expression was filled with a concern. Was Jolon angry or was he sad. Both perhaps? The younger male didn't know what to say to him. He wanted to comfort him like a friend would do, but didn't know how to execute it. What would Asterr have done?

"Um... Is everything ok?" he asked in a quiet tone. "If there's something wrong you could always tell me."

Jolon broke his leg, just so you know. The post where he actually breaks it was made just a few minutes ago, so that's why it's not mentioned XD

He hadn't told anyone of the pain he felt in his right hindlimb, nor did he think anyone would care. He could not hunt, barely patrol. He was useless, a disgrace to the souls on this mountain and himself. His family would've killed him right then and there if they had been present. He could care less what would happen to him. He didn't feel safe from himself anymore, what did it matter anymore?

He let out another whimper as the pain intensified without warning. He kept his mouth shut for the moments after a question was asked. He didn't feel like playing the weak little boy with an auwwie. He was going to fix it all himself.

Leo straitened himself as a sharp whimper came from Jolon. He stood from the place where he rested, examining his body for anything out of the ordinary.

His eyes wandered over him, not pinpointing any problem. There had to be a reason for the sound, whether that be physically or mentally. "Are you feeling alright?" he asked. Leo hoped for an answer, but wasn't sure if he would get one. Jolon had kept almost completely silent.

As the others eyes were obviously seeking out the cause of his behavior, Jolon pulled his leg closer to his body as to hide the fact it was most definitely broken. It hurt to move it, but he had to unless he wanted the rest to be worried. No one had to care for him- he was an independent individual that could easily take care of a broken leg himself. If just the voices agreed with him...

Fine... He rumbled, surprised by his own cold tone. Even for the normally cold tone he spoke in most of the time this was surprisingly icy. His gray eyes sought out the ground where he focused on a little rock as he moved his tongue around in his mouth. He was thirsty, but if he'd walk now Leo could see his leg more clearly. It was better to stay put until he was left alone.

Leo was also surprised from the cold tone in his voice. It was much different than the welcoming tone he was used to. It scared him in a way, so he decided not to badger him about it. Sooner or later he would have to tell someone about his problems and if that didn't happen Leo could always try again.

Another awkward silence rolled by. The man stood there, shuffling in place and thinking of what to say. "So, um... have you seen Asterr around? I've been looking for her everywhere and I'm starting to get worried."

Jolon wasn't in the mood for smalltalk. He wanted them all to leave him the fuck alone. And he definitely didn't want to talk about Asterr. When she comes home with another male by her side, she could explain to the boy herself where she had been and what kind of little dirty sucker she was. His nose wrinkled as he scowled, icy eyes peering into his very soul.

Go! He growled.

He was taken aback once more with Jolon's cold nature. His growls had rose anger within the male, which was very odd for him of all wolves. You're just going to stand there and let him push you around like all the rest? the voices hissed. For once, Leo didn't try to ignore it. He snarled, digging his dull claws into the earth. He looks so weak now Leo, they say, urging him on, You know you want to.

Leo took a step towards him, the violence of his father surging through his blood. However, something had held him back. The thought of what consequences he may have if he were to attack Jolon. The male pulled back, grumbling under his breath. "Fine," he hissed, walking the other direction before he did something he would regret.

Last post for me!
