All Welcome
Although his attempt to join the pack had failed, Shadowfur had stayed near the borders of Rosings. Prey was plentiful in the southern half of Wapun, and the dark male was hardly going to leave such a plentiful supply. Now however, he sensed something had changed. The border scents had faded slightly, and the woods no longer rang with the song of wolves.

Cautiously, Shadowfur crossed over the fading border into the forest. He was curious, forests had always held great appeal for him. The fact of a prey rich meadow to the north only increased his interest in the area. He knew however, that caution was needed. Although it seemed that the pack was no more, there may still be Rosings wolves in the area. Wolves who may not take kindly to his intrusion.

The dark male trotted through the woods, constantly looking out for other wolves. His gait was alert and tense. Nothing was going to be left to chance. Shadowfur continued on, deeper into the dark forest.

All Welcome
Isley would have been a fool to not notice the wolves so close to her beloved little Meadow. Rosings was not a name that she had been familiar with nor had she ever crossed their borders - she was pleased as she had told @Palisander in her desire to be her own woman for awhile. Still, she was protective of the Meadow and it's beautiful flowers. If someone came to trample them she would have raged a storm far larger than her tiny body.

When she no longer heard the comings and goings of the pack she became curious, investigating the fading trail that only days ago had seemed stronger. She caught the scent of a male but did not call out - she preferred instead to gain information before she acted. She could not let herself get swept up the way she had in Palisanders gaze, it would be foolish, and she refused to be that way.

All Welcome
As he trotted on, the dark male felt a slight sense of foreboding. What had caused Rosings downfall he did not know, but he hoped it was nothing sinister. Liri had hinted that the packs numbers had dwindled, but that might not have been the only factor. He hoped that nothing really bad had occurred though. Shadowfur liked the dark forest, it reminded him of a better time in his life. A time when his spirit was whole.

As the male trotted on, he caught scent of another loner. She had no affiliation with Rosings, of that he was sure. Eventually, he caught sight of her through the trees. He didn't say anything, choosing simply to observe. Loners were not always the most friendly characters.

Assuming this takes place after their thread

Palisander intended to return to Isley. He had been away briefly for some scouting and to catch some food, but he hadn't told her that. He wanted it to be a surprise. The male came back with a dead raccoon in his mouth. He already had a rabbit before and even though that did not fully sate it was enough for now.

The male let out a muffled woof in greeting of the female, approaching from the other side where the dark male was watching the red beauty. He had a proud smile on his face when he placed the meal before her. "I caught it for you,' he spoke. The white of his muzzle somewhat bloodied. The male scanned the area, ears alert. He did not want to be attacked or anything.

He inhaled sharply, thinking he was smelling someone at least. His tail instantly lifted up high and his nose sniffed the air better. Though the wind was not really helping him. His blood orange eyes squinting suspiciously.

There was almost a truce among the Meadow - they coexisted, occasionally sharing time together and while Isley was still uncertain she felt almost optimistic. Today she wandered alone, investigating the former claimed lands. Ahead she knew there was another wolf, her keen green eyes so used to plucking little plants out from the brush had found a figure though she could not make out many details. Isley was distracted as Palisander's scent found her nose and the slightest curl of a corner of her lips was visible. A faint twitch and then she controlled it again, smoothing herself out back into normalcy.

"Brought us dinner?" Isley asked, curious of his intentions - certainly he wasn't leaving her this kill after all. She noticed the way that he was reacting, her head nodding towards the direction further into the woods. "A male, I think, up ahead." The figure didn't seem feminine to her, at least. She felt a little unnerved with him not approaching and just watching. She wondered what the wolf's intentions were, considering the wide range of possibilities of what they might encounter.
