All Welcome
per request,, @Astrid and any other pup that wants to go on an "adventure" (@Keelut, @Abraxas)
The nights became colder with each passing day, forcing her to curl her children closer to her chest though she need not. They were growing big enough to retain their own body heat and growing rapidly, they were. Eventually, the den became cramped for all six of the family and she would shoo them out to the world beyond, just a few feet so that they may not stray to far but not b kept restrainingly within her reach. Yet now, she knew she could not keep them close much longer. She had noticed it in all of them, wandering eyes and eager paws that often roamed too far. Now, it was time to expand their horizons to the beyond, the territory they would conquer in later years. Rising her children from their slumber, she beckoned each one into the chilling air of the early morning, a time they had not met before.

"Let's go," She called, sniffing the air for any unwanted visitors or imposers upon their journey. When she found none, she waited for her children feets away from the den for them to catch up with her. Their walk would not be long, but it would hopefully give them a sense of where they were in the world, and hopefully, a sense of independence as well.

Some time ago her ears had perked up, the blessing of hearing how awesome she and her less interesting siblings sounded having been bestowed upon the little girl. Often she cried just to hear her own voice and to impress all the blobs around her with her "powerful" roars. sleepy it made her, but she would never give up- she would cry until she'd get the loving touch of the being that had brought her into this cold, annoying world that she would one day shape into something she liked. Her dreams took her places her physical body could not go- so she was very annoyed and shocked as mother's voice woke her- her beckoning triggering something in the young being; she needed to be the first one out.

Scampering up and about, she zigzagged between mother's paws as they left the dark place they had spent their greatest moments on earth. Big, blue eyes looked around- the early morning sun making the green of the woods more lifelike and amazing for her bad eyesight. The blobs were prettier this way, and they passed her vision of a perfect world. One ear swiveled to mother as she spoke- and as if understanding what had actually been said, she "shot" forward- her "amazing speed" bringing her ahead of her mother.

The boy was sleeping. Having taken to a nocturnal lifestyle, opposite of his siblings, waking during the night to stare at things, he had great dislike to being waken now. But he rose soundlessly, watching as his vaguely interesting mother left, along with the horribly annoying sibling, his other vaguely annoying sibling none of his concern. He followed his mother, as instinct dictated, but once outside the den, he did not follow. He was no sheep.

The child, wanting for his own adventure, skirted the den, moving as fast as he ever had in his life as he tried to get away from his loud, annoying siblings and the mother that was interesting. He was leaving, or trying too, and in his mind nothing would stop him. He had not made a sound since that day with his mother all those days ago, and would not be making one now, as he slipped away.

She guided them along the forest trails, watching her daughter while she watched the road ahead. Abraxas' departure did not concern her, however. The boy was an independent soul and was of a mature enough mind to roam in his solitude. "Astrid, walk with me please," Her main concern was that the girl would reach the Mire before the woman could stop her. The swamps was a place not for children on their first trip beyond, however, the woman was not as strict in her tone as she could have. She loved her daughter and the curiosity that came with her; it was not Nemesis' place to limit her boundaries. They traveled, but truly, Astrid led. The woman would let her go on until she became tired which was probably not for some time.

short since I don't know how she acted at this age anymore XD

While the fact that her brother got to venture free without warnings and she did not angered her, she stayed closer to her mother. However, she kept ahead, making sure to be as independent as she could be without her mother yelling. If her brother could do it, so could she. She was blessed, after all, and not in any danger at all. At least, that's what she told herself.
