Rebekka knew the cold was coming; a feeling riddled within her that soon the snow would fall and engulf the earth until the dawn of another year came upon them. Until then, she knew where her job lay. Filling the caches was easy work, yet she yearned to roam beyond the borders of Sleeping Dragon for the girl was a flighty soul, she had always been. The woman pointed her compass in a random direction, and began to run until she felt the air leave her in pants. It did not take her long to catch the scent of a herd, roaming throughout the vicinity where pack wolves were scarce. Smart creatures — until the neck of their young were carried in the mouths of wolves. She would be that wolf.
Observing from a distance, trained eyes easily picked out the weak and the slow from the fast and the strong; from the children to the adults. By her lonesome, the woman opted for the eldest of the herd, the one that would not be missed nor fought for. Waiting silently for the rest to move on and the old to fall behind it's youngsters, her tail swished faster yet steadier in anticipation of the hunt.

the hunt. she had not partaken in such an affair in long, though watching the movements of meals that could be hers stirred longing. alone, she could not think of taking down a beast, let alone returning it to the lair.
yet, with another...her gaze fell on another, nearby. she stepped neatly into the open, her movement sure to draw a keen hunters eye, and gazed to the other without a word. her body language displayed openly her desire to hunt and her friendly demeanor, and she waited for a response from the other.

The other joined, yet, she did not mind. As the herd moved on but the old lagged behind, eyes zeroed in on what would be their prize. Indicating for the other to venture on the opposing side, Rebekka paced forward levelly. The beast held the graying hairs of age, bones brittle yet it's kick was one strong enough to knock out; a head of antlers were enough to kill. However, it was slow. Creeping towards the thing, she cast few glances at the stranger to see if it was attempting the same. She could not bring the deer down alone and without caution. Two was always better than one in these situations. As far as splitting the beast went, she care more for the experience rather than the meal itself. While Rebekka was ready to strike, she could not without the other being fully aware. Seeking the gaze of approval from the other, she impatiently waited.

they moved, her following the directions the other gave by way of gesture and body language, moving with grace and efficience. When the moment came, without problem, and the other looked prepared to strike, Hisaya finalized her position, muscles tensed and ready. her gaze was focused on the creature to such an extent that she almost missed the woman's next cue, however, was quick to catch on.
to the other she nodded her head. ready. she waited first for the other two move, then she would fall into place, letting the other take the lead.

Eye contact was made, and Rebekka surged forward. It was only when she nearly made physical contact with the stag did it raise its head, eyes alarmed and shot out it's back legs. The woman skidded back, yet the beast did not flee. Instead, it turned its flank to Hisaya, facing down Rebekka with an angry snort. In that instant, she felt a heart beat of fear before regaining her ambition; it could not beat her. It was old as fuck. Bowing to the side, she stalked along the side of the creature in a reattempt to revert her attack there, yet, it followed her with furious eyes. And the game began. She skidded and ran to left, it followed; she attempted again to the left. Eventually, it had begun to disorient her as much as it did to the beast. The earth begun to feel unbalanced as she continued the trick of the circle, pacing back and forth until she was able to find the stranger and indicate her to attack while the stag had little sense of direction.

she drew ever near while the other darted to and from in an effort to confuse the creature, and it seemed to work. Yet another cue was given, and her paws were pushing into the earth as she sprung, the old creature so tired an confused that she managed to land on it's side, grappling onto its back as suddenly it took off, letting out a cry of alarm as she clung to it with vigor, and it did not make it far before it stumbled, fighting hard to regain its feet as she buried her fangs were its neck met its body.

The other wasted no time in taking the beast down, and moments later as Rebekka regained her sense of direction, the stag had already stopped breathing. In turn, she ripped her share of the meal with a satisfactory smirk; ripping the leg of with a few hard tugs and gnaws. It was an old, feeble thing and it was clear within the state of it's innards; not as fresh as a young blooded deer, perhaps, even sickly. However, a meal was a meal and she would not waste, ripping apart to take back to the caches of Drageda once she scoffed down her own. The other, too, slunk away with one parting glance; taking a chunk of the share for itself. With little energy to tow the rest back to Sleeping Dragon, the buried what she could and marked it for further consumption in the event she would find herself in need of the protein. With one last lick of her chops, the woman parted ways from the scene and took with her, a new tactic that she would later use in life again.
