All Welcome
AW

arunik'ra had first noticed the change last week. a small sensation that flickered like a little candle's flame in the back of her mind. as if casting some small and dim light on the scarce-tread recessess of her devout and often unshadowed psyche.

she knew then it was time -- and when her estrus came upon her she was driven by a restlessness, a purpose -- molech's will consumed the sunspear and sent her driving deep into the headlands.

she found a scent, a wolf -- one distinctly male -- and followed it through the cold ground. she was hungry, she was tired -- she was a wolf overcome by instinct.

Figured it'd be a funny coincidence :P

Having been much of a home body, Ar-Khalba rarely found reason to leave the copse. However, with news of Asherah's pregnancy still fresh in his mind, the Katimir ventured south in search of herbs that would quell her nausea. Ar-Khalba's medical know-how was rudimentary at best, yet he wanted to do his part to the sisterhood and the litter that the Malkaria would soon welcome.

In a small clearing where the sun beat threw the thick canopy of cedar, Ar-Khalba found a small patch of dandelion. The yellow blooms of spring had all but gone -- whispy white balls of fluff remained in their stead. Unceremoniously, Ar-Khalba ripped a portion of the plant away, thus exposing the useful roots beneath. Its feather-like seeds were caught in the wind and floated away.

That was when he noticed.

On he same breeze that carried the seeds away, Ar-Khalba caught the tantalizing perfume of nature's call. The plant fell to the ground from his slackened jaw as he stood frozen in place. His body tended. He could not take a lover from beyond the Malkaria -- yet he did not know if he could fight the temptation. So for now, he stood tethered to the spot.

thanks for joining <3

as she threaded through the small copse she came upon a clearing; it was then the scent panned out and before her stood a familiar figure.

arunik'ra had never been a wolf of loquacious nature. her gaze slid over the male and was telling; even from a distance any soul could decipher the haze that overcame her gaze.

she walked towards him purposefully, her tail carried over her hips - she knew her purpose; would he?

The temptation was nearly too much for Ar-Khalba to bear. He cursed himself and his weakness under his breath before taking a sinful step forward. Yet when the source of Ar-Khalba's desire stepped forward, he breathed a sigh of relief. His gaze fell on the priestess -- the Res Drunak of the Malkaria herself. With his ears falling against his skull and a wanting whine peeling from his throat, he made himself deferential before her.

She approached with purpose. Ar-Khalba took another step toward the sunspear. They exchanged no words, yet Ar-Khalba knew exactly what she wanted -- what she needed. He knew, because he felt Molech's call the same as she. He wasted no time and was soon hooking his forelimbs around the priestesses waist.

It was over soon after it began. When he finally caught his breath, Ar-Khalba slid off the Res-Drunak's back and began to pant.

it seemed ar-khalba knew of his purpose, and of her desires -- for tonight, and tonight only, ar-khalba would be the sunspear's king. dutifully she arranged herself so she was becoming to him -- and equally dutifully, the male slid inside her.

arunik'ra would have lied if she said she did not enjoy it, and part of her wished to lie with the man after their conquest. but the woman was primarily a woman of duty, not of passion -- and with a slow motion she unfurled herself from alongside him and slid across his flank. her teeth for a moment sought to raze his cheek in a silent, wanting farewell -- and without words, the sunspear made her return to the copse.

Though Ar-Khalba was also a man of duty -- he was a man of tenderness. A part of him hoped that the Sunspear would remain by his side when the act was over, but he was unsurprised when she didn't when they finally came untethered. He gracefully accepted whatever affection she did offer: a brief, fleeting touch to his cheek. And then, she was gone. Presumably back to copse she went.

He trailed over to where the herb he had wrangled for Asherah lay. He took it in his mouth and followed the Sunspear's path back home.
