All Welcome
Time to fish!

She was up early, strolling through the deep forests of Donnelaith, northbound before the crack of dawn. She continued her solemn trek, swinging wide around Blackrock, and over the rolling hills along the bay. The wind carried her scent, a warm breeze rolling in from the south that would surely alert prey of her arrival. Muses did not mind, for in her mind, she held steadfast to a single task. As the sky grew pale in the east, obscured by distant mountains, she could see her northern horizon dip slightly, disappearing into an age-old river valley. With that in sight, she picked up her pace, trotting so that she could reach it before dawn dissolved into day.

By the time she had arrived, the world was set ablaze in the fiery colours of the morning. Wide, golden streaks picked up the hues of dying leaves from the forests that sheltered Teaghlaigh, while pinks and purples glimmered in the sea's reflection. Her heart hammered in anticipation against her chest, a wide grin cracking apart her maw. This was no mountain, she knew, but it was nonetheless astounding. She could not recall having passed a more enchanting world during her travels; and she was content to have settled in the area.

Not long ago, she had been told of the fish that lived in the salty waters, and she was eager to try her luck at snagging some. They would not be like the lake fish that she was used to, but she figured that all fish were alike in some way. She never had the patience to sit still for long enough, waiting for the fish to return long after she had sunk her pillar-like legs into as deep of waters as she dared. Even in wide rivers, where sometimes large fish would be carried down the current, she could not sit still long enough for them to pass her by.

Today, however, she had been filled with determination. Patience was not one of her virtues, especially not when the patience involved stillness, but she would try. For her sisters, she would do anything. With a flick of her tail, she meandered down the river valley slope, pale eyes picking up the hues of dawn as she scanned for a section of the river that looked promising.
Won't you torture someone else's sleep?

Hoi, mind if I pop in? roll here, we miss 3 times before catching twice!

She continued on her travels, but her stomach couldn't bear another day without food. It struck Krypton with such a pain that she couldn't move any further. She was forced to eat something to keep moving. When was the last time she ate? It was unknown. She was more focused on her journey home rather than her own bodily needs and functions. A ripple of pain was set in motion, sending immediate pain to Krypton. She whimpered to herself, her legs weakly holding her up.

While the sky warmed her body, the wolf lumbered on towards what seemed to be a river. Perfect, a quick place to catch something. She would not stay long, her journey home was her main mission on hand, not eating. With a depressed sigh, Krypton quietly made her way, not paying attention to the smell of another wolf in the presence of the river. Still large in size, she headed to the inland part of the river, knowing fish would want to travel with the current towards the ocean. She felt the rocks beneath her hurting paw pads roll around, the smooth surface providing some relief.

With a thud, she sat down. Her eyes weakly scanned the water as the fish meekly swam by her. She scooted a bit closer to the water, then, without warning, sunk her muzzle into the water quickly. She lifted her muzzle, nothing in her mouth. She sighed to herself, shaking her head before trying again. She failed.

Krypton could feel her patience run dry, but her growling stomach kept her in place. She needed the fish, she needed to eat. With one last try, the wolf sunk her face into the water but came up with nothing. They were taunting her, she could see it. With an angry snarl, she arose, her hackles flaring a bit in frustration. Her anger existed for a few mere seconds before she soothed herself. Krypton felt her spiked hair fall down and smoothen. Her black lips uncurled themselves and fell against her ivory teeth.

Anger had no place here.
