All Welcome
these days, hawthorn was a rare sight around the packlands - well, as rare as a puppy could be. he had taken to exploring when his family and pack weren't around to stare at him or attempt an awkward conversation, and when they went exploring, he had sneakily gone back into the den to sleep and rest. he barely ever spoke even though he knew his vocabulary was better than his siblings - he simply didn't feel that he had to continue a conversation with someone who either couldn't keep up with him, or was too annoying to speak with.

today, hawthorn left the den quietly. the sun was just rising, and the soft golden rays washed the glade in pale angelic light, leaving hawthorn speechless for a moment. he got over the awe quickly, though, and after committing the moment to memory, he slipped away into the woods.

Tigerlily watched with one eye open as her sibling Hawthorn had gotten up and was beginning to leave the den. Again. He seemed to be doing an awful lot of travelling for someone who was so young. Where was it he even keeps going. Tigerlily grew frustrated. If there was something to be seen Tiger had to be a part of it. So being the stubborn girl she was she stood up and began to follow him though careful not to be seen.

When he got out into the sun she was caught off guard as he paused and she quickly tucked herself in a bush. Then began to follow him again as he slinked off into the woods.

After a while Tiger came to the conclusion he had no particular destination and was probably just walking for the sake of walking. She decided rather than be pissy she would be nice and see if she could find out just where he was off too. She trotted up to him and stopped right in front of him. Not caring much if she startled the boy. "Hawthorn where you going? Are you going on an adventure? Can I come?" she asked one right after the other her tail wagging.

Hope you don't mind :P

not at all :) thanks for joining! sorry, he's a bit pissy lol

he wandered without a destination in mind, quietly observing his surroundings and pausing every once in a while to sniff at a random clump of bushes that held a stranger scent than the others. hawthorn knew that his tendencies were stranger than that of a normal child, but he didn't care - they were boring, his siblings with their obsessions with playing and playing and playing. didn't they want to know more about the place they were living in? didn't they want to know more about everything in general? or perhaps he was just gone too often to see them when they were learning. again, hawthorn didn't care. or he just felt that he didn't care, these days, he wasn't that sure about what he was feeling anymore.

it was peaceful. and then his older sister appeared. right in front of him. hawthorn stopped and peered at her through bright blue eyes. he determined that it was his other sister, not rose, but the one that always seemed to be fighting with his other brother, or doing other random things that didn't help promote her image in his mind. not that it should matter, because hawthorn thought less of every one of his siblings, but he felt that he didn't know her that well, and was therefore rather cautious around her. she spoke then, tail wagging, questions erupting from her maw one after another.

hawthorn waited until she'd finished, before staring straight into her eyes with his own unnerving blue ones. "why do you ask?" he asked bluntly, not knowing why she wanted to know in first place. "you snuck after me...to find out where i was going?" there was a bit of a scoff when he uttered the last sentence, because he found it bewildering that instead of following after him quietly and knowing where he was going, without hawthorn himself knowing that she knew, she was asking him and therefore making it known that she wanted to know where he was going. it sounded a bit muddled up when he said it that way, but it made sense to him in his head, and that was all that mattered.
