Neither of them remember who was born first, but without a doubt, they recognized that Lazuli was the more mature and headstrong of the two Volkovs. It was she who came up with the idea to scout ahead for the coming Apaata pack. It is she who knows more of the Inuit tongue. Where Lapis is mischievous and sly, a prankster, Lazuli is cunning and Machiavellian, a diplomat. But despite that she was still childish, pouting and curling her lips with disgust at the world they just entered, the warmth of the land ruffling her fur 

They can't seriously want to move here, The blonde snorted at the soft feeling of wet mud and snow under her paws, lifting one, making a face at the dark splotches that clung to her. It's disgusting.

A cheeky smile crossed his face as his sister's paws became caked with mud, her disgust palpable as she lamented their recent immigration. They, well, she had offered to become the vanguards for the Apaata pack, scouting out the lands that one of their own had recently travelled to. He too had no reason for their movement, the land still as cold and bountiful as it had been when they first woke up in Alaska.
