Pack Activity

When the hunt was announced, Tirgatao was not surprised when she was paired with the newcomer, @Corranochender. Seeing as she was the oldest, and only Seageda member left (aside from the brothers), it made absolute sense that she was asked to be buddies with him. Not that he was the odd man out, by any stretch; there were more new clansmen than old nowadays, but it certainly helped smooth over any confusion if she was the one to define and educate him about any questions he might have regarding their ways.

So with the large gray stormcloud by her side, the pair wandered off into the woods in pursuit of their quarry. She could see the other teams to her left, and her right, but her focus was mostly divided between her partner and the occasional undulating call of the turkeys in the distance. She pressed in close to the older male and shot a glance towards Eske, who vanished into the underbrush with Kendra in tow. A smile swept across her muzzle, and she looked up at Cor with a wordless expression of excitement before following suit and ducking into a rather thick tangle of brush.

Large gray stormcloud....Love it! XD
Corranochender pranced into the group, tongue lolling from his mouth in a grin of excitement. When Arlo and his brother had found the flock of turkeys and brought the news back to the pack, a hunt was quickly organized. Upon being paired with Tirgatao he wagged his tail and padded over to her, brushing her flank with his in a friendly manner. Well...more like brushing her hip with his thigh, due to their height differences. His first pack hunt and they were turkeys. Birds were not his favorite meal, but he would hunt well for the pack, for the new mothers and their tiny pups, not for himself.

He followed Tirgatao as they strode into the woods, allowing her the lead. Amber eyes noted the other teams breaking away and going their separate ways to get their own turkeys. Cor hoped that if any were killed before he and the Shouna reached their bird, it wouldn't startle the others away. He grinned back at Tirgatao as she smiled up at him and he shot her a wink, before she disappeared into a thick tangle of brush. Cor followed her, shouldering his bulk through and got stuck. Sometimes being a massive beast with thick fur wasn't always to one's advantage.

Tirgatao, smaller and much more nimble, slipped through the woods with ease and almost left Cor behind in the process. It took her a few seconds to realize that he was no longer at her side and she skidded to a halt before looking back over her shoulder. She spotted him tangled in the undergrowth—the terrain they were in was not friendly to his unusual size. A sheepish smile touched her lips as she hurried back to him. "Sorry," she ecked out as she bit down on some of the nastier snarls of ivy, tearing it away in an attempt to free him. "we'll take the other route, hopefully corner them." the pale woman explained as she stripped the last of the ensaring flora from her partner and gestured to the slightly more forgiving path. It lacked the twisted latticework of vines that prevented Cor from moving with the same swiftness as fleetfooted Tirgatao.
