All Welcome
She awoke to pitch black, whimpering with fright. It was a nightmare, a nightmare about her. Her biological mother. Filled with sorrow, she slipped from the den where she slept and into the coastal night air. Each kiss of the wind was sharp upon her face, yet she walked onwards into the obsidian darkness.

As if She knew one of her daughters needed guidance, physically as well, the moon's light broke down through the clouds. Her beams of light dried the girl's tears, instead causing the young sprite to stare up at the crecent in awe. Strings of moonlight, as bright as flame, turned the sea a-glow like melted platinum. It was then that the sweet little girl found herself inclined to sing to Her.

With slow, peaceful notes she started her song, letting the notes build on their own accord. Her honey-dipped voice poured out her emotions to Her, providing Her with a gift of song. It was now that the small fae sat upon her haunches, her head thrown back with abandon as she sang with all of her grief and glee. Each note swirled around her, lifting the weight from her young shoulders. It was only then that she let her song fade out, a peaceful look cascading over her features.

The sound of a song breaks the silence of the night, and Julep, being a curious sprite, couldn't help herself from braking out to find the singer herself. It was dark, but not for long. The moon broke through the spring clouds with bright strings of light that suddenly graced the night tide with their touch. Somewhere along the beach Julep found the singer, and was surprised to see it was but a sprite like herself, even younger.

Who do you sing to? asked the tiger shark when the tune was concluded. She came close to the little lamb, gesturing a kind greeting as she saw the sadness dull her eyes.

The young fae found herself startled by the voice of another. Her suprise grew as she witness another sprite like herself padding towards her in the sand. The girl was wrapped in the scent of her matriarch, Akantha, and the scent of another young wolf. Tilting her head up to the moon, she replied to the girl as if it was obvious, "Her, of course." Her dark eyes gazing up at the silver crescent. "I was hoping... I don't know. That maybe She could help me." The grief flooded her eyes once more as she rested them upon the fire colored girl, not much older than herself.
