All Welcome
Ganon's mind wandered about as often as his feet did these days. He often found himself thinking about his siblings and what they were up to. Just a few hours ago he had thought of Koume and how he had not seen her for some time. Even her scent had begun to fade away and the boy couldn't help but wonder if she had left in search of something more fulfilling than what these woods had to offer. He couldn't blame her really, he wanted to leave too sometimes, to go off and explore what the world was like beyond the blood soaked borders. However no matter how much he wished to step across the invisible barrier that kept him tied here, Ganon couldn't bring himself to take that one leap. A part of him was frightened to leave the darkness he had grown so accustomed to, another part of him did not wish to leave his mother.

Even Vaati was barely around these days, often taking off whenever he felt like it. Ganon thought perhaps he should tag along on one of his brother's adventures as an uninvited guest, but the spiderling quickly threw that idea away. He still had Kotake to pester at, though she usually didn't give him the reactions he was searching for. With a heavy sigh, Ganon slowly shuffled his way towards an open field and due to a lack of observation, found himself on the outskirts of the weeping meadow. He was sure mother had told him to stay clear of this place once, but curiosity pushed the wandering spiderling closer and closer to the infected tree.

It wasn't often that she wandered; aimlessly, without a single soul to accompany her. Usually she was with her brother or even Damien for that matter, but today she had pulled herself from them in a way to clear her mind. First she went to check upon her secret hiding place, counting the pieces of others she had gathered proudly. There was the tongue she had ripped out of some girl's mouth, a bone she had found on the borders and a rotting leg of an old hair Atshen had caught for her. She had eaten the rest of it, yet still held on to the physical gift as a way to never forget. She liked keeping things; liked how she became their owner and how she could do with them what she wanted. Still, her lips were pulled in a straight line; her eyes half-closed and uninterested. Even as she left the spot did her expression never waver.

She picked up the scent of one of the children she had yet to meet. How forgetful of her; Potema had spawned more little spiderlings for their woods, even though another little girl had already ran away. Smart girl - the woods were no place for proper ladies. She could only admire the girl's guts; the guts she had never had. She followed the trail of youthful aromas until she stopped, looking through the mist-like cloud that surrounded one particular tree. The slightest of chuckles escaped her. While she had not actively sought for information about the tree, it was obvious that coming too close meant nothing good and that she should stay clear of this part of the woods. Still, the child wandered mindlessly into dangerous waters - he was young, impressionable maybe... If he just didn't notice her, she could become the child's saviour just before it was too late.

Why should he steer clear of this place again? He couldn't remember with his mind so fogged up from all of his recent thoughts. It probably wasn't important anyway, just some story to scare him. He took a step towards the misty lonesome tree, his nose wiggling as he tried to catch any scents. None presented themselves, at least not any he could recognize. So with there seemingly no danger lurking about, Ganon continued his way towards the center of the tree, his body stiff as his nervousness caught up to him.

He had to admit the weeping willow was eerie as it stood smack center in the field. It was like all the other trees had run away. He blinked a few times as he realized there were tiny little specs floating in the air around him. Curious as to what they were, Ganon lifted his paw and swatted at them. They only drifted a few inches away before settling once again. How strange, he thought, his attention now caught by the harmful spores.

She wondered then; would she have listened to some other's demand to stop exploring something interesting? Given that the tree did not give off a terribly dangerous vibe and her logical thinking would not consider it too bad of a threat, probably not. So, with that thought in mind she now realised she was teaching the kid a lesson without doing anything. It brought a slight smile to her pretty face. Surely, if the tree was deadly they wouldn't live here or even allow such young children to wander about the woods. Then again... These were de Blackfeather Woods; things far more morbid than death itself had flowered here.

And so she kept still - sitting, never flitting, as she observed the young explorer. Sooner rather than later would the harmful spores affect him in some way; only then would she move to get him out of there. Curious souls got punished in their own way; it was better to listen to older wolves.
