She moved from ledge to ledge, launching herself across empty air and landing precariously and the edge of an outcrop. Hauling herself forward, her gaze turned northward, that direction being the one she had travelled in for the past few weeks. Little adored the rush of adrenaline, the burning of her muscles as she picked her way up the steep incline. She could very well have travelled along the valley, but that took all the fun out of things. Claw skittered against rock as she adopted a brisk trot, the trail she found herself on relatively smooth and wide enough so that she could keep a dozen inches away from the edge.

Not being the nimble sort, Murdock was sincerely wishing he'd stuck to the valley, where the ground was soft and even. The only reason he was up in the mountains again was to see if Pema had been around - and she hadn't been. So there was no reason to stay.

He'd been about to turn back when he caught sight of a flash of tan-and-white up above him. At first he thought he'd seen an erne, and had just begun to wonder what it was doing so far from the sea when he realized it was a wolf flying over the mountains.

"Kids these days," he muttered to himself, continuing along a similar (but far simpler) path as the flying wolf.

She wasn't sure when exactly she became aware of the wolf travelling paralell to her, but as she flew along the rock, her gaze slipped to him every few moments. Quite suddenly, she leapt neatly over the edge of her path, bouncing off another ledge before landing somewhat neatly on the male's own. Claws grated on stone as she steadied herself, twisitng to face the male and offer a "hey"  He looked old, she decided, and certainly towered over her. If he turned out to be a more dangerous type of lunatic than the first wolf she had met, she could always loose him on the mountain.

He'd lost sight of the wolf a few minutes before it dropped down in front of him. Surprise had him wheeling back a few steps, but when he saw that it was the flying wolf, his eyes simply narrowed in interest. What did she want? And what was wrong with her? Why was she in his way?

Seeing no reason to remain standing when he would clearly not be making any more progress for the time being, the male plopped down where he stood and regarded the strange young shewolf. "Even'n," he replied, unguarded curiosity peppering his tone. Usually, it was him approaching pretty young things, and not the other way around. It was nice to have the situation reversed, but he was not convinced she was here for friendly flirtation. Although, if she wasn't, Murdock couldn't imagine what she did want with him.

He supposed they'd soon find out.
