All Welcome
It was dusk, and Aviana had been out and about that day, exploring the territory. Grayday had picked a rather nice place that including a lot of different landscapes. It gave them the best chances at all different kinds of food. They would need that during winter.

Aviana was currently on the track of the turkeys that Dawn had mentioned. There were tracks left in the snow that she followed for hours. She was taking her time, making sure she wouldn't happen upon them and spook them. She wasn't much paying attention to any other surroundings as she strolled along.

Aliac got rather bored and decided to walk around her new packs territory. The young wolf thought that it would benefit her to learn her way around. She familiarized herself with the many scents that she encountered, but one made her stop. It was the scent of a fellow pack wolf.

Aviana lowered her muzzle to the ground, trying to pick up the scents of the turkeys. They had been through, possibly an hour or so before. She wasn't sure how quickly they were moving, or if they had set up for the night somewhere. If they were already up in trees, her hope of catching one tonight would be gone.

She wasn't aware of any other wolves around. The white female's coat blended in with the snow, and Aviana was too focused on tracking to notice any movement by her. Aviana's gaze looked upward into the canopy, trying to see if her prey had tucked themselves in. If they did, they didn't do it here.

Aliac saw her fellow pack wolf who by the looks of it was hunting something. She speaks softly as not to spook the wolf or make her attack, thinking Aliac was an intruder. "Hello." She say's simply as she steps out to where the pack wolf could see her.

A soft voice caught her attention, and Aviana's eyes searched for the source. A white female, blended in to the background, coming towards her. Aviana's tail swished back and forth silently in a friendly greeting. Hello, she replied. I'm Aviana. She kept her own voice low, in case the turkeys were nearby. She didn't want their voices to scare them off, and the other female seemed to realize that.

I'm hunting turkeys, she said softly. Want to join me? Four eyes and ears were better than two after all. Normally, Aviana might give up the hunt in lieu of socializing with the other female. But, she knew she was close to them. Too close to give up now.

Aliac thought about the she-wolf's offer and nodded. "I'm Aliac and sure." She too kept her voice down low. The scent of nearby turkey was apparent and Aliac knew that it would give her some more practice on hunting as well as working on her social skills.

Her offer was accepted, and she smiled in response. She motioned with her head for Aliac to follow, and she continued her trail of the turkeys. She was curious about the other female, but now was not the time for such conversation. She stalked on, her head lowered to the ground to keep the scent of the turkeys.

It wasn't long before their noises reached Aviana's ears, and she paused. They were just a few yards before the pair of female wolves, scratching at the ground to find food under the snow. There were only a few, but Aviana didn't need more than that. She glanced to Aliac to see if she was ready for the chase.

Aliac lowers to the ground as she follows Aviana silently as they both approach the turkey's they had been tracking. Aliac silently waits for the other she-wolf to make the first move. Aliac's pure white pelt made it easy to hunt in the wintertime because the snow provided her with a better place to hide in as she hunted animals during her tim as a lone wolf.

The other female joined her, and Aviana's eyes went back to the turkeys. She moved forward slowly, making sure her paws didn't crunch the snow and alert their prey. One paw in front of the other, one at a time. Her muscles tensed in preparation, her mouth watering at the thought of sinking her teeth into their meat.

Aviana took a calming deep breath and let it out slowly. She paused, watching the turkeys movements, trying to anticipate what they would do next. Who would put their head down first? Who would raise it? She waited until the perfect moment, and when the split second arrived that all their heads were down, Aviana shot off like a bullet, heading for the nearest turkey. They scrambled and flapped their wings in an attempt to distract and get away. Aviana growled, her front legs lifted off the ground as the turkeys took flight. Her jaws opened, going for one of their wings, and closed on... Air. She had missed. The turkey continued its escape, and left Aviana staring up at it as it landed on a low branch. Aviana growled in displeasure, but the turkey only gobbled in response. She looked over at her hunting partner to see if she had fared any better.

Aliac buried herself in the snow as she slowly and gracefully crept close to the turkey. She was careful to make as little to no noise if possible as she made her way closer. Her white fur came in very handy in the winter time, it helped her very much as she made haste. She ran in a quick sprint as she pounced on the turkey, grabbing it between her jaws.
