All Welcome
Sunflower has her nose to the ground, following something that isn’t all that fresh but it’s not terribly old either. It may lead her to a rabbit den and it’s the best she can hope for. She told them she could hunt and she can, but so far Delight has only caught her when she’s being lazy. Never does he run into her when she’s actually doing something (except the hunt he brought together not too long ago). She got to show off some skill then but if she doesn’t use it, and then they’ll toss her out on her sorry ass in no time. The tension between the rest of the pack won’t last forever and they’ll eventually see her for a fraud.

Eventually, the scent begins to fade and she realizes she’s been tracking it in reverse he entire time. Too distracted with the worry and need to work, she’d lost it somewhere sometime back. It is not a total loss, though, because her ears swivel forward at the first sound of a snort and shuffle in the hard, cold ground. She looks up to see a boar in the distance, blood smeared across his ribs and down his side. Two punctures bore into one side parallel with one another and she briefly wonders what has attempted to kill such a beast and failed.

There is not a lot of strength in the way he walks, disgruntled and in pain, but she does not yet move. While injured, they are still dangerous and the last thing she wants is matching tusk marks jabbed into her side.

She had caught wind of the boar's blood, but had taken a wider path than Sunflower had somehow--not that she could claim to know every best route yet. Jomyo still lurked quietly onto the scene, having noticed the packmate also there just seconds before. She perked when she did, though, and eyeballed the beast as she threaded through the cover to get a little closer to the other wolf.

Maybe now she had something more earnest to do. Her odds of even considering anything had just doubled.

Since it was way to soon to go rushing into anything, she peered hopefully at Sunflower to gauge her enthusiasm, or interest in any sort of attempt. Hunting anything like that had its pros and cons of course. Jomyo knew alone she was not enough to even waste her energy over it. But she did see the wound.. whatever was to blame for that mildly worrisome matter..

What do you think? she silently willed at the other.

After a moment, she catches another from the corner of her eyes. She’d been focused on the boar, she wonders if Jomyo had seen her surprise when she stumbled upon him. Just in case, her cheeks turn hot and she straightens up to brush it off. This is what she’s good at, after all, and her newest companion had shown her skills at the hunt some time ago.

“Looks like it hurts,” she whispers, flinching when the boar stops and turns, revealing another gash. His movements are slow but he still continues on, grunting and (every so often) squealing if something painful startles him. “Come from either side of him?” she says with her voice still low, nose pointing in the direction he’s moving.

She tried not to intrude too rudely.. but simultaneously slid into the situation as easily as she could. Jomyo's ears flicked back, then up again. "Yeah I bet," she squinted at him, now with a really good view of the wounds. It was even worse than she'd imagined, but no wonder the blood reeked up a solid trail to here. "Never gone after one so big myself," she offered, upfront about that sort of insecurity, though wiggled her tail a little with a growing boldness. "But yeah, let's try." A plan, a pair, so nothing was stopping them. Jomyo gave one more nod and slid off, swinging off towards a vantage allowing her to reach his other side.

She was worried about engaging it too soon, so waited once last confirmation before springing outright.
