All Welcome
it has been a long time since she has been anywhere near this land, or anywhere near her own people for that matter. the time away has done her well. trigeda welcomed her openly (as it had become a bastion for her people) and yet, she did not feel at-home there. it had been a struggle to adjust and to re-commit herself to the life of a student to their ways; in leaving that behind those many months ago, seregryn had freed herself. she still had strong desires for more, for power, for fealty, but it seemed as if the road to her greatness was often impeded by the influence of her own people. she did away with that by leaving them before the distraction became unbearable.
and then, she was here. again. the winter winds bit at her plush coat as she roamed in search of drageda, wondering if she was strong enough for thuringwethil this time - or if this was merely her final hurrah before giving in to a personal obsoletion that had been steadily building. she would not go down without a fight (this was seregryn we were talking about); however, the girl -- no, the woman -- she knew that anything worth living for was also worth the struggle to obtain it.
perhaps time had tempered her spirit. wisened her mind.
as she came upon the outskirts of the mountain-home, caught the scent of the heda among the pines, seregryn put her mist-thin doubts aside and lifted her skull, singing praises to her queen as she requested an audience. of course, things would not be so easy - the scent she had found had not been a borderline, but a gathering point. thuringwethil had already departed the mountain for reasons unknown and thus, seregryn would be left waiting.

She had been wondering around the borders that morning when she caught sight of the darkly colored female. She watched her from a distance and began to walk slowly towards a nearby tree where she hid for a few moments. She was still very new to this pack and didn't know anyone other then the few that she had seen wondering the territory. So when she caught sight of a stranger she waited to see if they could simply cross over the territory line. It would either mean that they were part of the pack, or that a very bold tresspasser.

But instead of crossing she picked up her head and called out to the Heda. But she wasn't there. Only through rumor had Seri head that she wasn't in the territory. When no one came to answer right away she took a deep breath and lifted her stance, before coming out from behind the tree, pretending as though she were emerging from the tree line. "She's not here." she began. "Why have you come here?" she asked, not in an acussing way.

it was not the heda who met her where she stood, but a pale creature that looked far too young to be knowledgeable of anything. although seregryn felt instantly put-off by this, she knew not to ruin her chances by making a bad impression, even if she would have preferred a familiar face. even seeing gyda would have lifted her spirits somewhat; yet that was not happening and obviously, seregryn needed to deal with it.
the admission by the walking cloud further instilled a sense of disorder. it was odd to think that thuringwethil would be anywhere aside from her own kingdom, but that was nobody's fault. seregryn had bad timing and she would correct the mistake at a later time.
where has she gone? queried the woman, bypassing the question that seri poses to her merely because the answer seems so obvious.
Please be aware, this character is not a wolf-dog cross of any kind.

But instead of an answer she was meet with another question. Seri thought it was a fairly straight forward question, and didn't think it was out of line to ask. She may have wanted to meet with the heda, but for what reason. That's what Seri wanted to know. An answer to that question would have make it alot easier for Seri to gauge whether this wolf was a threat. Especially with the rumors going around the pack, Seri didn't think that leting a stranger know where the rest of the pack was was a good idea. They could be a spy for the other side or something else.

"Not here." Seri repeated in a neutral tone. "Why do you want to see her? How do you know her, and who are you?" she asked again along with a few other questions. If she wasn't going to get answers for her right out she might need to call for another member of the pack who couldn't handle the situation alittle better.

what seregryn thought was obvious clearly was not - and she was a little irritated by the flippant manner with which this young girl treated her. all the same, she could not behave poorly; she would not let her base instincts get in the way of her goal.
after a silent moment wherein seregryn tried to reel in some of her emotion, the woman responded cooly, i am seregryn; fos goufa of seageda, trigeda, and my old home of drageda. thuringwethil is my heda and i am her kin.
her soot-tipped tail lashed once, twice against her hocks. there was no way to stop the embers of her eyes as they set upon this defensive child, and while seregryn did not know the variety of stresses that have been unleashed upon the wilds, she is equal parts curious and agitated. now, she continues without missing a beat, where has she gone?

Finally, something she could somewhat understand. Seri was glad that she had taken the time to asked a few people about the pack's history. Otherwise she wouln't have understood the reference to the other two branches that this pack was connected to. She even seemed to know the heda's real name, something that not even Seri knew being so new to the pack.

She felt alittle bad about leaving this wolf in the dark, now knowing that she was more then likely a friend to the pack. But she wasn't sorry that she had taken to time to make sure. Before she said anything further, she sent out a call to the pack. To anyone who felt able to speak to visitors of the pack, most likely being heard by @Ajatar and others.

"Hello Seregryn. My name is Seri. I'm still really new, so I'm sorry that I didn't know who you were. Just wanted to be safe." she said, hoping that could clear the air and easy any confrontation between the two. "She and some of the pack went to deal with the Blackfeather Woods issue. Hopefully someone else will come who can tell you more of the finite details. Seri wasn't sure exactly where they had went, or what the real issue quite was. But like she said. Hopefully whoever came would be able to explain it some more.

She hears the first call, directed specifically for Heda. Her ears cup forward and she drops what she’s doing and begins to trek in that direction. She does not rush, making it easy for someone else to reach the stranger before she gets there, but she is curious. Drageda is not as old as the other branches of the back but a name has been made in some of these parts, from what she’s gathered, but it is curious for her still. Perhaps a wolf from Trigeda, or one of the others, and so she closes the distance as she turns her gait into an easy trot.

When the second howl goes up her speed increases. She doesn’t know the new wolves, or whether or not they have the proper etiquette to greet one of their own, and by the time she reaches the borders she notes Seri’s presence first, and just beyond, Seregrýn.

Ajatar slows to a stop, having not seen the wolf in a long time, but she hides the surprise that threatens to break her features. She doesn’t speak right away, her gait slowly to a smooth walk and daring approach. Her head lifts, tail sweeping over her spine, as she scans over the former fos goufa with a scrutinizing lift of her brow. After a moment, recollecting what she’s put Trigeda through all this time, she surges forward and chases the woman off. She is no heir to Drageda.
