Finally, Q-Tip thought as he settled the rat's corpse between his paws. If @Ravioli asked, it would, of course, be hers, but she'd better speak up quick as Q-Tip's stomach was starting to speak to him. There was a stream not too far off that he might suggest visiting, though because it was cold, he doubted that the idea would go over well. Hey, Rav, he called, tucking his stuffie into the crook of his tail, C'mere for a sec.

Dakarai had roamed for quite some time now deciding to wander for a while before actually searching for the children. He had found a stream and stopped to drink but the cold water was much to chill to drink for long. From a distance he heard a voice call out and curiously decided to follow it. It had been a while since he had seen anyone else. As he followed the path of where the voice had come from he began to smell the stench of fox and grew wary. As he grew close to where the voice had come from he spotted the black and silver Fox and halted.

He simply stared for a moment before clearing his throat "Hello..." He began awkwardly and tentatively, unsure if the critter would be aggressive or friendly. Foxes had the tendency to be tricky conniving little shits or they could just be downright mean and Dakarai wanted to be ready for it when they did...if they did.

Ravioli’s ears swivel forward when she hears the shortened version of her name, then the beckon of her companion. She hopes a few steps on her back legs before she teeters over and walks on all four with a goofy swagger. A frozen chunk of ice clings to one side of her face, falling off with a clunk as she searches for his dark, silvery form. She’s about to say something when she spots another, large and dangerous, the causes her to slow down and stare hard at the stranger. Slowly, she glances over to Q-Tip for any signs of what they should do.

Q-Tip had been frozen in fear and anticipation until Ravioli came around with her sating presence. He caught her gaze and made a slight "I dunno" expression, then turned back to the male in front of him. Hello, he said, hesitation and apprehension both very present in his tone. He wanted to see what would happen next — if things went sour, he needed to have a plan in mind to make sure he and Ravioli could high-tail it without too much trouble.

Before anyone really said anything else, a raccoon scampered over and stared at him before turning to look at the fox. Were they together? How...cute. Another stretch of silence made things seem super Awkward and Dakarai took a hesitant step backwards, also planning to run in the case that either of them tried to go at him. He wasn't in the mood to fight and anything he did to these two would probably result in their deaths or a crippling injury...he didn't want to hurt anyone else either.

Finally the fox spoke and it seemed they shared common tongue. It was something that he hadn't been sure about in all honesty, all the other foxes he had come across simply hissed, spat, snarled and made various other noises as they tried to take a bite of him. "I..don't want to hurt either of you." He stated in a softer voice, wanting to get that out of the way before everyone ran for the hills.

Honestly there wasn't much else to do here, he had found the owner of the voices he had heard and satisfied his curiosity. "Didn't mean to disturb you both...I'll be off then" he said awkwardly and after eyeing the two of them again for a few moments he turned to head off.

if you want to continue this, just feel free to stop him, otherwise he'll awkwardly run off xD

Q-Tip doesn’t have anything to offer, knowing just as much as she does. Still, at point blank range, that doesn’t offer much of a challenge to the massive beast. Ear ears twitch and she clears her throat while the fox greets him. They can talk their way out of it—it won’t be the first time—because it’s all they have to work with so close. And to their luck, the wolf doesn’t appear to be too hungry. Ravioli watches him begin to walk away before turning to her friend. What now? They do not press after the wolf and instead shuffle away to somewhere safer.
