The light was fading fast and a quiet lull had crossed over with the eventide. The devil prowled with wild, wavering steps across a land he was all too unfamiliar with. It mattered very little where Ithrik found himself; there were many marks to claim wherever he should travel. The wilds had been so very kind to him and his nephew. The devil believed that it would be far more kind if he sought to breach the edges of the packs. The closer he drew, the more the air smelled like sweet flesh. All of them were different, but each one tickled his taste buds in a delectable fashion.

Inky legs began to blend with the darkness of the earth. Though the sun had not fully set, it could only cast a slight shimmering light across the meadow below. Ithrik would prefer to travel through the dimness that dusk provided. A chilling breeze swept through the pasture with a wicked bite. The flesh along his hocks and rear pricked with the touch of it, but he did not slow... not yet.

With daylight fading she continued to wander looking for a place to stay while she rests. It took her a moment to realize that yet again, there was a scent of someone in the area.

She paused and turned away from it, remembering earlier today with the girl. Picking up her pace slightly she hoped to find a place that was hidden enough for her to be. After all her snowy white fur was no help for disguise at night.

Occasionally she’d slow down to scan the area, her ears perked up listening closely. The fear always went up at night as it was easier to be crept up on. She hadn’t planned on being in the open at this time but she had wandered too much with no objective and ended up with nowhere to stay when it began to grow dark.

The piebald hound lingered for a while longer in the meadow. His eyes drifted lazily over the tips of foliage that poked through the snow. Ithrik swayed against the touch of the wind as it hounded against his frame, holding him in a lively state of enlightened seeking. The devil did not see any who would stand out against such a dismal background.

Suddenly, the burning tangerine color of his gaze latched tightly to a moving figure cloaked in ivory. His tongue flicked across his muzzle as he peered on her, and the pits of his stomach longed for him to pull closer. Ithrik listened and began to trot forward on lengthy limbs. He wondered if Iliksis' method was better for drawing women to him, so he attempted a pleasant smile – this warped into a wicked show of rotten fangs and a sinister glint in his gaze. With this, the vile creature prowled toward the unsuspecting victim.

No one seemed to be around or at least she didn’t think they were as So her guard went down slightly. She didn’t stop as much to look around for signs of others and instead allowed her mind to wander slightly.

Unaware of the wolf that was nearing her, the small girl trotted along her paws making no sound as she went. The Meadow looked strange in the dark though she didn’t mind. In an odd way it reminded her of her own mind. Beautiful in the light but come night it wasn’t so and instead it was dark, shadows lurking around corners and bends.

Why was it so hard to find a place to rest? She was getting tired from traveling all day only adding to her lack of concentration.

The pale female did not seem to be bothered by his presence. The devil safely assumed that it was because she did not know how closely he lurked behind her. A sickening rasp exited his lips as he parted his mouth and drew a salmon-colored tongue along the dark hairs of his muzzle. A swatch of drool landed in the snow, tinted pink from his previous endeavor. Still, Ithrik hungered. The killer would hunger until he had rasped his final breath; nothing would ever be more evident.

Picking his pace up, the devil closed in on his mark. With soot limbs, Ithrik rose and leaped – his aim was to strike against her shoulder. If he was successful, he would sink his fangs into her scruff and rip her through the snow.

Ithrik always thought that blood against a pallid coat was a stunning color.

Hearing something raspy behind her, her head snapped back to look. Her eyes widen as she sees the wolf coming at her and just barely moves out the way of his attack.

Sinking back her eyes flattened against her head, tail tucked between her legs. Fear coursed through her as she eyed the man. What did he want with her? She hadn’t done anything wrong. Maybe if she cooperated somewhat she wouldn’t get hurt..

Taking a few steps back she kept her dark eyes locked on him, afraid to look away but at the same time hating that she had to look at him.

The pale coat leaped out of of his way. Ithrik moved past her and swung wide, lowering his head to defend the tender underside of his neck. He cared very little to be subtle; the devil was not at all like his nephew when picking his victims. The pale mask over his eyes lifted some. The burning of his gaze rested on her features with a savage hunger. Circling wide around her, the devil curled his lip over gnarled, rotten teeth and he smiled. The vile brute paused, raising his skull upward and searching for the weakest point in which he could land a strike. The hunger ached against his gut. He would taste her, no matter her speed or strength.

With a few swaying steps, he began to close the distance that stood between them. His shoulders rolled as he drew toward her figure. The vile hound regarded her with a raised muzzle before he darted forward, jaws agape, aiming to latch tightly to one of her slender limbs.

She kept her gaze on him but moved to slowly, letting out a small yelp of surprise as she felt a sharp pain in her leg. For a moment she froze, trying to think. If she moved it could make it worse but it’d do the same if she didn’t. Though it had the possibility of angering whoever this wolf was further and so she stayed put, fear coursing through her and pain creeping up.

Without Thinking she found her voice though it was shaky and quiet, “Please...Let go of me...That hurts..” Of course her strange almost awkward voice would shine through and say something so stupidly obvious.

Maybe, just maybe, she’d get away soon though doubt started to creep into her mind and her thoughts screamed at her to run. Foolishly ignoring them she stayed in fear of being pursued.

Nasty teeth latched tight to her limb and he dug as deep as he was allowed. His breath came in heavy, ragged gasps that were desperate for her to hold still and let him have his way so that he might leave her, but Ithrik did not know that he could stop once he started. Her plea fell against his ears and he almost laughed at the tone. She was pathetic and weak. It was not that his overtaking her was a good demonstration of his strength, but that she deserved to be pulled down to the pits of the earth so that she would know the wrath of all that was evil in that world. The Apostle had told him as much, and so Ithrik knew it to be true, so he would follow the bidding of what he knew and he would sink himself into her so deep that she would feel him for the rest of her waking life.

The vile creature swung his head from side to side in an attempt to limit her mobility. Pulling his fangs free from her limb, the piebald devil swung himself wide and then moved to plant himself on her back. His arms moved to wrap around her, wanting to pull her close to him. “It's going to hurt a lot more,” he sneered wickedly, parting his jaws and aiming to latch them tight to the nape of her neck.

Feeling her leg weaken she kept her maw shut, opening it again after he released only to cry out as he put himself on her back. Letting out a low whine she felt him clamp down onto the nape of her neck as she was drawn closer to him.

For once in the worst possible timing her mind blanked and she simply didn’t move, unsure what to do. Her previous years had taught her how to get out of some situations but not..this.

In an act of something like desperation she attempted to howl, hoping that someone, Anyone was around to help. Was she all alone with this..this monster?

Tree and @Rathbone should be good to enter whenever at this point. Once they do, Ithrik will be spooked and take off.
His teeth latched to the scruff of her neck and he shook his head from side to side in an attempt to keep her quiet while he positioned himself at her rear and then sunk deep. The devil's movements were rapid and he would yank and pull at her nape every time she attempted to cry for help. She managed to choke out a strangled howl to someone, but he paid very little mind to the reaction that she had. They all liked to call for help; they all believed that someone was out there who would hurry to their aid if they should need it, but the unfortunate truth was that most were too busy with their own lives to stop and wander into the wilderness to assist another.

When he had finished, Ithrik yanked himself off of her and sneered coldly toward where she was. There was nothing so satisfying as breaking another. That hunger still ached from within him and he wondered if he should stay behind to chew what he could from her body. The vile hound continued to circle around her frame so that she would not have an opportunity to escape if she should try. His gaze bore into her body and he wondered faintly if he had missed his opportunity to take a trophy or if he would have the chance to whittle her down to organs and bone.

The large wolf kept pace with her as she made quick time in finding a herd of deer to feast upon. Not her favorite, but the meat she craved wasn't here. Settling down wind of the herd, she began to scan the herd, picking out a few that would be easy to bring down. She liked a bit of a challenge, but it wasn't for her. Twitching her tail, she opened her mouth to speak when an annoyingly timed howl reached her ears.
For a few moments she stayed still, not wanting to move from the easy prey. A mixture of curiosity and irritation flowed through her, and she snorted, gesturing for him to follow her. Trotting easily, her eyes watched the horizon, her ears swiveled forward towards the sound. Seeing the sight before her, she almost turned back to the deer. Yet an idea struck her, and she quirked her eyebrow for a moment before raising her hackles and barreling towards the twisted looking man standing over the wolfess, snarling.
The devil asked me how I knew my way around the halls of Hell. I told him I did not need a map for the Darkness I knew so well.

Shrinking back she turned with him as he circled her, afraid to take her eyes off of the twisted man in front of her. The way he looked at her made a shudder run through the small wolfs body and she tried to shrink further down wishing she could simply disappear.

Then the other wolves came. Her gaze went to them for a split second, taking in the Wolfess and her massive companion as she came barreling towards her attacker. Looking between the three of them her small frame shook, fear still coursing through her body.

The devil had finished with her, and he was not interested in hanging around while she sought help to heal her shattered soul. Instead, he regarded the stranger who was racing toward them with a cold stare, drew his lips over gnarled fangs in a twisted grin, and turned away from them. On stilted limbs he had come and conquered, and those same lengthy legs would carry him away. He did not stop to check if his victim was still breathing; he departed from the scene and disappeared into the shadows. Ithrik was not a fan of being outnumbered; he would retreat before he was ever in a position of that sort. He scoped the terrain for his nephew and put himself on the path to find Iliksis in the wilds.
