The Sunspire I don't need any help to be breakable, believe me

All Welcome

Nara had woken up bright and early. She decided to take a stroll through a mountain path to enjoy the sunrise. The weather was pleasant and a soft breeze, loaded with the fresh scents of blooming flowers and wet rocks from the valley below, ruffled her pelt. With her muzzle tipped, she tried to distinguish between the different flower smells, but her botany skills were nonexistent so they all just smelled like that-one-white-or-was-it-yellow-flower to her. She went to her usual cliff where you could see the entire Greatwater Lake. It was a view that never failed to amaze her. What good are pretty views though, when there is no one to share them with? she though, suddenly aware of how lonely it was up there.

The weather had broken from its tempestuous front to give way to the spring they should have had all along. Iovan breathed in the fresh mountain air and exhaled, eyes closed against the brightening sky to fully fix on the warm scents of flowers and dewy grass. He'd forgotten how much he had missed this weather, and how good of a mood the warmth put him in.

A gentle hum touched his throat as he wound his way along one of the Sunspire's better paths. Looking down still brought a precautionary lurch to his belly, but with every day, he found himself less afraid, and more accustomed to the craggy slopes he called his home.

Yet he still found himself unaccustomed to the wolves he shared this place with, and when he picked up the scent of someone familiar yet unmet, Iovan turned his plans to follow her higher, until the horizon broke, and the stone wall of the Sunspire gave way to a breathtaking sweep of the Valley beneath. His eyes widened, but even that did little to help take in the view. "Woah," he breathed, and he picked his way closer to the earthy stranger. The rising sun stroked the warm tones of her fur and strengthened her colors, just as it did the Valley below, and he felt his attention divided. "What a view." And he turned his eyes back to the stretching hills and mountains and lakes. "You can see the world from up here!"

The wind must have heard her thoughts, because not much later, it swept in company. Nara often came here alone to think and the solitude had never bothered her until now. Now she felt at peace with her past and there was no more thinking to do. Therefore she was grateful for the arrival of a pack mate.

Nara didn't recognize his voice, although his scent was familiar. She turned her head and greeted him with a smile. It's beautiful, right? she agreed. She took a moment to let her eyes slip over the pretty earth tones of his pelt before gazing into the distance again. The climb can be difficult, especially when there is rain, but it's definitely worth it she added.
