Seldom seen, secluded...

Spent.

Every day, the same.

With the wind in her fur, and against her face, she imagined the steady presence of her dearest friend standing beside her. Intelligent, dark eyes like twin flecks of obsidian hewn from ancient stone; streaks of black strung beneath them...

Were they wet before she took the plunge, she wondered.

Heda did not weep, but her Shouna did.

Tirgatao methodically lowered her head as her lips pulled into a anguished grimace. The cracks in her composure shattered as she sobbed, the sound muffled by the wind whipping across the jagged cliffs.

Every day, the same—but not today.

Verx, Aure, Ephraim, Blodreina. Natrona, all.

Tirgatao, heartworn, and spent from her grief, lifted her head and sang a somber song of war.
"There are no guarantees in the future. That's why today, the time we have now, is important."
