@Shadow
Edit: Oh man, your name did just not wanna tag, lmfao.

The nightfall had met him well, and his traveling came with a surprise. Kaworu was close now to his destination, the salt scent in the air sharp on his nose as he inhaled. Allowing the breeze to lead his movement he knew beyond these trees, it would not be too far now. Against the stark dark of Ravensblood he seemed to glow with what little moonlight caught the shimmer of his once well-groomed pelt. Before he had been perfectly brushed and straightened in the lap of his God, now his pelt carried treasures from the wild, a small brush of stray twigs and leaves clinging to the feathered fur beneath his stomach.

Despite the cling of nature dragging on his coat, it was habit that caused Kaworu to step so carefully among the trees. Every rogue sound set off in the forest served as a reminder, he was an outsider to this world. But such thoughts did not bother him, instead fueled by clearing the dark expanse of trees quickly and to leave them forgotten. A new wonder awaited him just beyond.

xD, I'm assuming its night? If not I can edit.

The ashen male had traveled far and wide but since joining Swiftcurrent Creek he had never ventured far from home. This time though, he went further than he had ever gone before at his time in the Creek and though worry nagged at his heart for the safety of his home, he felt free as he trotted through lands he had not explored yet.

Soon it was night and stars glittered across the black pelt and the crashing of waves told him he was close to the sea, the silver wolf walked forward to the edge of the seaside woodland until he could see the sea itself. It was full of deadly beauty, something that Shadow appreciated. He stood there as still as a rock, listening to the calming sounds of the waves.

Black tip of his tail flicking lazily.

yep yep it's night uwu

His passion was well rewarded. The perfume of the sea grew strong and his pace quickened, darting among the tilted trunks of the forest--the only barriers between him and what laid beyond. It was some time into his lope he saw the forest thin out, and his pace pulled back into a smooth careful gait gulping down air with a bout of panting before he found his composure once more.

Ears pricked, Kaworu welcomed the hushed sounds of waves crashing against the sand it lured him closer. And as he slid down to see the sea, he paused--he was not the only one to have chosen this path it seemed. Carefully and with silence, he observed the carved shoulders and broad back of the wolf at rest. He did not move forward, a beat spent between both animals before he roused himself to speak, We were destined to meet.

"We were destined to meet." The silver prince turned to see a... a something. It was most definitely not wolf, its scent and appearance different. It was tall. It had long legs beneath a ghostly pale coat, its eyes a warm yellow. It was dog but it was not like any kind of dog he had ever seen, it just looked plain weird to the platinum male. He shrugged inwardly, at least he thought it was rather polite.

Shadow met the weird dog's gaze with his own steely silver ones, his tail swishing from side to side as it rose higher into the air, his head held high and ears pricked as a sign of dominance. His eyes flashed to the spot beside the dog before returning to long legged one. He wondered what the dog would do.

"And how do you know?" he said softly. "How do you possibly know that we were destined to meet?" His tone was calm, even with no sign of hostility because why would he need to be hostile. The stranger did not seem to threaten him.

What he saw as alien creature accepted his dominance between them swiftly and without complaint. Tall as he was, Kaworu walked with his head stooped low to the ground and it was that position he held, his feathered tail waving between his heels. He offered the mercury wolf a subtle smile grateful that he did not hold him in contempt for having snuck up on him--he did mean to move so quietly, it was simply his nature.

It seemed then he was delighted to announce his answer, his tone as tranquil as the seaside ambience that surrounded them. This world is so wide, and yet we have taken the same path here. Pulling his ears back his eyes drifted shut, Do you think it is just coincidence? Is coincidence also fate in disguise? And he was eager to hear his wild cousin's answer, the Borzoi was not so sure of his own regarding the question. Perhaps there was no real conclusion to it.

"This world is so wide, and yet we have taken the same path here.", the dog pulled his ears back, his eyes shut. "Do you think it just just coincidence? Is coincidence also fate in disguise?" A faint smile drifted across the silver's prince face as he studied the dog in front of him, he had accepted his dominance without question, his head lowered and his tail between his heels.

"Somethings are coincidences, some are not. It may be a matter of belief, depending on what the person believes in. We may never know the answer, there might be no answer at all." replied the ashen male gently, moving forward to touch his nose on top of the dog's head before moving backwards again.

Kaworu gave a simple nod, his eyes fluttering open at the unexpected touch his received; warm sun met quicksilver for a brief moment and then drifted back towards the ground. I too have thought this. He admitted, agreeing to the wolf's sentiments before adding, Though you honor me with your wisdom. His head tilting with graciousness and a small dip of his nose. I am Kaworu. He had not been asked for an introduction but felt it was a right moment for it, shifting so that he might look beyond the wolf.

May I watch with you? He had traveled so long and far to only glimpse the sea between the legs of the wolf seemed inadequate now, but he made no motions of his own. Withheld anticipation beating in his chest, he waited expectantly for answer.

"Though you honor me with your wisdom." that brought a sad smile to the silver wolf's face. He remembered his brother and sister smiling at him whenever they thought he said something that was wise beyond his years. Now, he could no longer do that, it seemed as if life revolved around fighting now.

"May I watch with you?" The ashen male turned "Yes, you may." he murmured and stepped aside, allowing the dog to advance beside him. After all, if somebody had traveled so long and far, they deserved to see the reason of their travels.

He did not need further invitation. The tall figure pulled himself forward immediately, his head lifting to peer out beyond the forest's boundary. Breath caught in his throat, wonder and delight seized him at the sight that met his vivid eyes. The edge of the world unfurled, water expanding far beyond his sight. He took a long moment, simply admiring the sight of the rush of ocean as it crashed against the shore and folded back upon itself. He felt minuscule.

He enjoyed his company, somehow sharing this with someone gave the moment more weight. It was real. It was some time before Kaworu rose to speak again, and when he did his eyes stayed locked on the scenery, voice a quiet murmur on the wind, Have you always been wild? He questioned.

That table is awesome!

"Have you always been wild?" Kaworu asked. The silver wolf's gaze did not leave the ocean. "Yes, why do you ask?" he murmured softly, still admiring how the the waves crashed against the shore then withdrew back into itself. It was a sight that the platinum wolf had never seen before.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" he said, his voice soft. He lifted his muzzle into the sky, the moon shining on his pelt, making it glow white, and howled. The song speaking about the endless ocean and the waves and its beauty. But as fast as it started, the song was over.

thank you!

“I was thinking” Kaworu began to confess, “That such unhindered beauty would not be a rare treasure in your life.” This own thoughts unwilling to separate this moment from his past where such a thing did not exist. There had been other beauties, but they were tightly contained away from him, his movement limited. The idea that the Borzoi could simply take off and sprint towards the water and nothing would stop immediately stop him, his God’s rope could not lasso him any longer and drag him in which he had no will of his own. It was exciting and yet faintly frightening to have so much power.

His emotions seemed to channel against the other wolf who had always own the freedom of this world, and had been born with the gift to channel its beauty into song. He froze to listen, but could not join—he didn’t know how. His breed was naturally quiet and he stayed true to his born temperament as the powerfully driven melody was tapered off by the sound of the ocean once more. Kaworu let go of the breath he had not been aware he’d been holding, his eyes locked on the company next to him. He wished to ask so many questions, his eyes dancing with the curiosity that had been sparked and yet he could not find words.

“I was thinking” the dog said, “That such unhindered beauty would not be a rare treasure in your life.” The silver wandered cast a quick glance towards the dog before it drifted back towards the sea. "No, it wouldn't be the first in my life but it is the most beautiful one that I have ever seen."

Finally he turned his platinum gaze to the dog, "I have seen more bloodshed, more battles, more wars and fighting than I have seen such beauties in my life." he spoke quietly. "You are still young, are you not? Treasure such beauties and forget your hatred and grudges for they are not worth your time.' he sighed, gaze still on the dog. "Learn to love and forgive, my friend, and you would live a better life than most."

Kaworu paused again, to listen with quiet attention at the second coin of wisdom the wild creature offered him. Tilting his head, he nodded solemnly. In truth he could imagination such a world of violence, but to have lived in it must have been something else entirely. Another noted difference between them he could not ignore. I try. Kaworu responded, as he was already a creature of peace and forgiveness. Internally searching, he could not find an honest speck of hate in his heart, and he wondered if somehow this made him lacking or rather was he simply sheltered until now.

I do not think this will help me live longer. He added a moment after, bluntly in his smooth manner of speaking, I will die before Winter comes. But I am glad to have shared this with you.

"I do not think this will help me live longer." said the dog bluntly, "I will die before Winter comes. But I am glad to have shared this with you." The silver wanderer turned his gaze onto the young dog. "Why? Why will you die before Winter arrives?" There was true concern in the wild wolf's voice.

His gaze searched the dog's warm yellow gaze with his own platinum ones. He could survive through winter couldn't he? But why would he die before winter comes? Did he not know how to hunt for himself?

I will starve or be killed. And this he said with utmost certainty, yet there was only the smallest glimmer of sadness in his gaze. More so he looked genuinely interested in the worry the wolf expressed towards him, all at once grateful and touch by it. A subtle smile graced the corners of the dog’s eyes, and he tilted his head at his acquaintance. This world is very hungry. He stated a moment after, deciding to elaborate somewhat, and by world he specifically meant the wilderness that surrounded him, There was a great bear who came and tore my God to pieces in a matter of minutes. Unaware that the wolf might not link God to the human which he'd been raised to define as such.

When I reflect I think about how she should have fled as I did. Yet my God was still and from afar in safety I heard silence until finally a terrible shriek and then nothing. He re-accounted the massacre of a camping trip when he'd been severed from the ties of his domestic life yet Kaworu did not seem to be swayed into emotion, only a simply retelling. I returned, I was loyal and I was frightened. But the nights were long and I grew hungry... when I succumbed to the hunger I fed from the scraps of my God's flesh and after I knew I could not stay there. But I also knew I too would meet the same fate.

"I will starve or be killed." said Kaworu with utmost certainty. "There was a great bear who came and tore my God to pieces in a matter of minutes." His God? What did he mean? Gods did not come in solid form, so what did he really mean. The silver wanderer did not interrupt, merely listened as the dog continued his story.

"I returned, I was loyal and I was frightened. But the nights were long and I grew hungry... when I succumbed to the hunger I fed from the scraps of my God's flesh and after I knew I could not stay there. But I also knew I too would meet the same fate." He fed from the scraps of his God's flesh? But how could he? What was his 'God?'

"I can teach you how to hunt, and fight but as long as you're fast you shouldn't need to fight. said the wolf. "What do you mean by your 'God'? asked the ashen male curiously.
