All Welcome
for @Aislinn or Iseldir if you prefer

thin muzzle and razor sharp teeth would place alamar as a fisher more than a hunger of land-dwelling creatures, yet the assumption would reign false if experience has anything to say about it. his failures of fishing are grand, and what few times he manages success, it is likely the world taking pity upon him.
so why does alamar trek a waterway this morning, when there are other places that he could investigate? well, where there is water, there is likely critters along its banks. a shrew is alamar’s target, darting about the reeds on the creek-side. he crouches, slow in his movements and keeps downwind.

She had just learned of her mothers death and the young female felt a sadness within her that she couldn't even escape from. She knew she had to get some air and process everything before she went to the burial site of her departed mother so here she was getting normalized with the surrounding territories.

startled by movement, the shrew darts off, burying itself in the den out of alamar’s reaches—a “tsk” sounds loud enough that the boy gives up the hunt for now, blue eyes instead shift to turn towards the white wolf who startled his target.
you interrupted my hunt— he accuses, direct with ears flicking back, uncertainty however comes a beat later as he notices the depressed lines across her face—stress and sorrow wearing on the stranger. it reminds him of jaime. his tension eases up. what’s… wrong?

She was startled by the voice of the stranger and she frowned slightly. "Oh...I'm sorry." She hadn't mean to ruin anything for anyone, she had thought she was alone and when he asked if she was alright, the young shewolf just shook her head as she looked at him.

her apology is appreciated, yet by the time it comes, alamar had already shifted focus. experience has taught him not to ignore the needy when their eyes brimmed with such despair. and perhaps it is also the doctor in him.
though he questions her what is wrong, he is given only a head-shake as answer. it is frustrating, yet expected. he would not open up to a stranger either.
okay, then… do you want a distraction? he offers in place of conversation of her woes.

She gave a small shrug of her shoulders before thinking. "Perhaps I can help you hunt something else?" She did ruin his hunt after all it was the least she could do.

yeah, he gets it. life sucks and sometimes you just wanna be numb to it all. he doesn’t know what disaster struck in her’s, but it’s like picking a lock that doesn’t want to cooperate. much like jaime.
yeah, sure. unlike jaime, he gets an answer… an idea that just might work on getting her mind off things, and also fill their stomachs. what are you good at? hunting is so broad there are numerous fields, and if she says she’s best at taking down deer, well, alamar isn’t the best partner for that.

She thought for a short moment and looked at the man. "I can hunt rabbits fairly well and other small creatures with others deer is a good target as well." She started off simply. "And you?"
