After his encounter with the patchwork-pelted man, Ruvik headed in a different direction due to the information that had been supplied to him. Yuèlóng having moved to a forest — away from the safety the island had afforded them — and his unending guilt of abandoning Huā after being attacked saw that he would avoid that area. He could not go back there.
So he set his sights upon the mountains, knowing that the possibility of The Savior lurking in these peaks would be ever present. However, the more pressing threat of flooding urged him to seek higher ground.
He clambered up the rocky trail of the speckled mountain as rain pelted against his back, the ground underneath slick and treacherous. The distant cries of eagles became louder and louder but he persevered, right up until a cry sounded right above him. Ruvik suddenly stopped and whipped his head up to look to the darkened skies, only to be met with the claws of a particularly territorial eagle. It had swooped low in warning, claws just barely grazing the fur on his head, before arcing in a wide circle and aiming to dive-bomb the intruder once more, who now stood motionless in fear.
Ruvik is a limited consent character, which means you don't need my consent to inflict damage (anything goes — except outright killing him)!
