Silvermist came across a rather barren place, he could see what felt like the entire area from the one spot his feet were planted. Except that wasn't the case. There certainly was more to the location he was in, but the grey man wasn't sure he wanted to explore that just yet. There was a light dusting of snow along the ground, as if this area never left winter in the first place. Having a fluffy coat, Silvermist was not bothered by that notion. The snow and temperature of it only felt cold along his pawpads.

Along his way, Silvermist had actually found tracks from some kind of deer, but lost the trail and ended up giving up halfway through tracking them. He could eat later. The man definitely preferred the forested areas to any place like this one. It was too open, he could be spotted from what seemed like miles away. Had starclan lead his paws wrong? Or where there better areas within this place?

Blue eyes lifted to stare at the sky, clear as if they were staring down at him from up there. Maybe they would guide him out of the barren place, soon.

So the man kept walking.

These parts were full of crazy, crazy wolves. If he could even call some of them wolves. The golden man just had to deal with a giant infant and he was more than willing to put that event in the back of his mind. The lean warrior lost elegance in his stride, now he just casually dragged his paws through the lightly filtered snow. But with the sun still shining brightly through the sky, the beaming rays that shined on his pelt, Goldenwind paid no attention to it. It was common though, for it was just a sign of leaf-bare coming.

leaf-bare was always a tough time for there was little prey left to go around, always cold, the green cough would become more common. It was all just mundane.

So as the golden warrior lazily hung his head just a bit, a new but... Strange, familiar scent came into his nostrils, what is this now? He slowly craned his head up to get a good look at his surroundings and a large silver male came into his view. Who was that? His hopes urged him to go up to the man and asked where he was from because Goldenwind could have sworn he had seen this wolf before. However, his hopes were cut off from the fact that his instinct kicked in and told him to mind his business. So, he drew his orange eyes away from the male and heaved out a sigh and continued on his way.

The grey man continued on his way, until a somewhat familiar scent made its way to his nostrils. A frown thretened to etch itself to his maw - how could one of them be here? Others did survive, Silvermist wasn't an idiot. Many of those wolves from the groups had to have survived, there was too many for them for almost all of the population to be wiped out. His blue eyes traveled to where the scent came from - Silvermist wasn't sure if he knew that guy, but his smell was certainly familiar.

"You belonged to one of the clans didn't you?" He called out, approaching quickly.

Goldenwind should have been wiser and assumed that the stranger he saw was to come to him asking questions. And he certainly did not expect the male to ask him such a question that made the warrior stop dead in his tracks. So... My instincts were right... By Starclan... But he couldn't let his thoughts escape him, he kept his composure and was unmoving, what should he say? Goldenwind knew every Windclan warrior that he laid eyes on and judging by the look and scent, this was no Windclan warrior.

He had to play his cards right.

"Maybe," his voice oozing with mystery as he then turned his head towards the silver male, sliding his eyes in a slightly untrusting glare. "Who wants to know?" The warrior inquired with a bit of sass to his voice since there was no point in hiding that he was of the clans that the silver man questioned him.

The guy stopped moving and because of that, Silvermist was able to pause in front of him and get a good look at their form and what they looked like. Certainly not a Thunderclan warrior but it looked like his suspicion had been right with the way he answered the question. All guarded and not friendly. To Silvermist, the guarded personality of the other wolf didn't matter, in favor of the other Clanwolf. He just wanted to know.

"Silvermist, I was a Thunderclan warrior." He responded. "What Clan were you from?" He questioned. Yeah, definitely not Thunderclan.

Silverwind was curious, and curse him for being so. The personality of this other warrior didn't even matter - though it never would have mattered in the first place. He greeted everyone with the same tone, in the same way. Open and friendly, just as he was doing here.

i'm coming back from the dead to post, let's get this bread

The taller man presented himself as Silvermist of Thunderclan, no wonder he looks laid back and carelessly introducing himself. Should the golden man entertain the silver one? He already started the conversation with his introduction, there was no beating around the bush though, he already knew, "Goldenwind, I am from Windclan" he said simply. What more could he say? What else could they talk about other than the fact that their homes were destroyed and everyone they knew and love had fleed or was dead.

The golden male didn't want to entertain the idea of why Silvermist was here, that was obvious, but it was quite coincidental that he ended up in the same place as Goldewind. The younger male didn't say anything more and just let the sound of the breeze carry out the silence as he turned his head towards the mountains and beyond that loomed them. His fur danced and intertwined with his orange gaze on the land before them, what can he do? Stay by himself and just live the rest of his days as a loner? Or was there another calling that Starclan had in mind for him

Silvermist wondered if it was Starclan that brought the two together - to say that some still lived from their original homes. Though that idea would have been easy for anyone to deduce - not everyone from each of the clans would have died. A good few of them would have been able to flee. Silvermist and Goldenwind were just lucky enough to meet one another. He would like to call it Starclan that caused it. Maybe they still were looking down upon the wolves that once called the lake their home.

Home. That word left behind a pang that Silvermist tried his best to ignore. There was no way he could return there. Not in this life, or any other. Silvermist would only live once, though. No more no less. Until he went to Starclan himself and was able to watch his kin from the stars, too.

"...How many do you think escaped?" He asked hesitantly.

Goldenwind's sighs were being carried by the wind as the silence fell between the former warriors. Normally, if two warriors from different clans were to meet there would be disputes and disagreements between the warriors. But now that there were no borders, no clans, the golden male felt that it would be a waste of time to tell the large silver man to piss off.

How many do you think escaped?

Those words hit the former Windclan warriors ear's like a revolver being fired into his canal. The male flinched his ears just a bit as the unwanted questions that he tried to keep out of his head came buzzing in. A smooth, all be it forcefully, sigh parted from his lips,

"I don't know..." his voice came with a gravel tone for he had to be honest with his response no matter how much it hurt him.

Not knowing was right. Neither of them would know who survived and who didn't. Silvermist hadn't caught scent or word from anyone from his own clan, the other wolf was the first one that he had seen from any of the other clans, too. Something in his head was wondering if starclan was still even watching them, but they had to be. If Silvermist ran into another wolf from the clans, starclan had to have had some kind of influence in it, right?

His blue eyes scanned over to the other man, and then away again.

"Maybe they rebuilt somewhere..." Though it was but a passing thought.

Goldenwind really didn't want to talk about all this, it was just too much, the boy was fairly young so having a travesty such as this occur to him shook him to the core. But should he let this affect him? The looming past of the destruction of his Clan by those who were bitter and did not believe the stars? No, he shouldn't for if he let his past defy him then he could never crawl out the hole that was made for him. The Golden warrior drew silent breaths as he didn't want his thoughts to turn into actions in front of an enemy.

But was he really an enemy anymore?

The clans were destroyed, their borders gone, so could this lazy looking man really be his foe any more? Not unless he gave him any reason. But the silver man suggested that the clans must have rebuilt which did peak Goldenwind's interest. He slightly faced his golden head towards the larger man but didn't let his face be readable, "perhaps but, I can't be sure," he paused to look away.

"Maybe that's what I got to do," he reflected, his voice low with deep thought.

Silvermist was going to drop the topic, really, but there wasn't much for the two to talk about. Their homes were gone, their families and friends gone with it. Any other topic to speak of didn't come to mind, and Silvermist didn't really feel much else could be talked about. The rebuilding topic was a passing thought in his head, that someone must have gone and set something up somewhere. But not where the two were now, that much was obvious. Or maybe Starclan had lead them to more danger after that and had everyone else finished off. That idea was painful.

Goldenwind mentioned that he would get to rebuild, and that peaked Silvermist's interest.

"Are you? Two could make better than one." A soft but weak smile, his eyes didn't follow it, still stuck in their sad expression.

If not... Well Silvermist would have to figure out what he was going to do from now on. He didn't have any ideas.

Yes, it was what he had to do, rebuild, start from scratch and go from the ground up for he felt it would be the only way to cope with the travesty of losing his home. But could he really do it? There were not enough wolves that he knew of that lived by the warrior code and believed in Starclan so it wouldn't even be the same feeling.

That wasn't going to stop him from trying though.

Once he mentioned his plan, the Silver man next to him chimed in that two could make it better which caught the Golden man's attention and slid his eye towards the larger male. He wanted to deny him and say that he could do this on his own but he belted up and honed in his thoughts, Silvermist is the only other warrior here besides myself, would it be wise of me to send him away? Goldenwind pondered on this thought by moving his slim head away from the other warrior and slightly angled his ears back.

A sigh parted from his lips as he turned his focus back on the former Thunderclan warrior with his brows slightly narrowed and his ears forward, a face of grit, "fine," he gave a curt nod. "We will start looking for a place to call home," he turned his head forward and stepped a few inches forward as he was now ready to face a new dawn.

[narrow]Silvermist thought rebuilding a clan was a pretty sensible idea, maybe they would find some of the other wolves that went missing from the clans and survived the destruction. Or maybe they would just completely build something up new, introduce other wolves to the idea of clanlife and their relationship with starclan. Silvermist wondered if starclan would like that - bringing in new wolves to their clanlife. They didn't seem to mind before, but what about now?

"Let me know when you need my help!" The wolf replied smoothly.

He almost expected to be turned away, they were part of different clans after all. But with no borders separating anyone now, it would be hard to use that as a reason to keep all at bay.

I'm so sorry! some IRL stuff happened and it caused my motivation to plummet

Could the Golden male say that he was grateful to the larger one for offering to help in his little project? Goldenwind wasn't one to offer a lot of words so he gave a small nod in appreciation but his face remained stoic as he looked back to the horizon.

"We will find a suitable location first and make a foundation, then, we can find others that are willing to join," he stated firmly, and hopefully other warriors will find us as well, he wished in the back of his mind but didn't dare to let those words escape him. The former Windclan warrior didn't want to get all sentimental around this Thunderclan warrior for he didn't know him that well, but he was satisfied nonetheless that he got a fellow warrior to help him.
