There was only a few flowers that grew upon the mountain top, and were especially rare now that winter was very so near. Even a few times did the snow drop nearby- and so when Asra came across but a few mountaintop laurels, she was genuinely surprise. There wasn't many left, and majority of them wilted away, but she could not help but pluck a few, and take back to her down.

So with but a few laurels, she moved toward her den.

There’s something missing from the mountain. Marble couldn’t put a finger (or paw rather) on it at first. She was too busy memorizing every inch of this place. But when she was finished she took notice of his absence.

Where was her pudgy brother? She hadn’t seen his face in a good while. Well, she might as well search for Calcifer before doing anything else. Rather than finding her brother, she came across a woman who held flowers between her teeth. Marble huffed to get her attention.

Sounds were made to get the frosted womans attention, and she curiously looked around to spot but a chubby child, gray and white with a cute look to her. Though perhaps it was better to say of a teenager, as most from the last season were now bigger, and while she didn't look full-size, she wasn't much of a child-size anymore, "Hello there."

Asra greeted with a smile, as she set the plant to her paws to speak better, "do you need something?"

Marble nodded to her, not because she really wanted to, but she was obligated. She saw no use in it, but quick greetings had become a habit and habits were hard to break.

The young girl was more interested in the flowers her packmate had set aside than small talk, so she was pleased when the conversation turned towards that direction. Marble took a step forward, gestured towards the blossom, and let out a quizzical grunt.

"You are curious about the laurel?" Asra moved them forward with her paw, offering them to the child, "they grow only in the mountains. It's quite rare to find then still blooming this late." Especially since majority of them were already wilted, it was definitely the sign autumn was here, and winter was just around the corner.

It would her third winter. Being born around the autumn season, the first one was not remembered much. She remembered blurrs of white and her parents arguing upon the meals that would arrive, and wondered why they had a litter so late in the year. The second was easier for the frost-woven wolf, for she could take care of herself, and provide more help to the court. She was glad, this season as well, was settled with another group.

Laurel. Had she the ability to speak (or the will) Marble would’ve repeated the name. Instead she went over the syllables in her mind. Laurel.. laur-el.... lauuurel....

Oh. There goes her mind.

By the time she was pulled away from her thoughts, the woman (who she’d yet to know the name of. Knowing Marble’s social skills, it’d probably be a mystery for awhile) was already finished with her snippet of information. Rather than try to get her to repeat herself, Marble set her sights on the flowers that had been pushed towards her. She poked and prodded at it, carefully examining every inch of the bundle.

"It's pretty, isn't it?" As the child looked at so, speaking of no words, Asra thought the flower suited it well. She was gray and white like the north itself, suiting well to the winter season as the snow would blend into her so. Asra held an icy-feel, she was like a midnight glacier, a streak of white splashing onto her eye, yet she would never truly be able to blend into the north like others.

Her mother had it, and she as well. It was a wonder, if her own children would have the eye-mark.

"Would you like to hear a story about these?" As she looked at the other with a fondness, Asra momentarily thought of a lovers tale surrounding of these flowers. It was but a bittersweet story she she enjoyed.
