The new alpha exited her pack's territory for the time being. True she needed to mix and mingle with her packmates, who hardly knew each other (she would change that soon enough), but there was hunting to be done. And she needed to locate the nearest herds outside of Blackfeather and the territory around it she claimed.
Travelling back into Great Bear Wilderness, she headed south, away from Ouroboros, her former pack, towards the Heartwood. She could surely drive deer towards her area from there. Stopping by where the river spilled into the lake, another source of food, especially in the winter, the priestess lapped at the water, taking a quick drink before she went to find potential prey.
EDIT (1/22/2015): Removing tables.
A snow white body drifted in the rushing waters of the heartwood river, bumping into the biggest rocks here and there, stumbling abruptly in its fastest rapids and dancing peacefully with the slowest flows. The silver boy had been unconscious for several minutes, therefore his body was starting to suffer physical damage from the lack of oxygen. No sign of life showed so far, he just floated motionless. His pulse was slow, but it kept him alive with a few weak bumps of blood from time to time.
It wasn't too far from where it all happened, a few hundred yards maybe, but there was nothing that the unconscious boy could do to save his own life. He was at the mercy of the stream that so far seemed endless, way more than his body would survive.
The priestess looked up from her drink, ready to leave when the flash of white fur in the water caught her eye. Meldresi narrowed her eyes, trying to seek its source before she saw the white body of a wolf tumbling through the river. Keith! The dark female ran towards him, her teeth grasping onto his scruff. Using all the strength she had, she pulled Keith's limp body out of the water.
Panting from the exertion, she collected herself and searched for a pulse. Luckily, the boy was still breathing, but his lungs were clogged with water. She massaged his chest, hoping to get him to spit up whatever he swallowed unconsciously. Knowing he would need to be dried off and healed, she leaned back to howl for @Fang before she continued trying to resuscitate him.
But luckily for the unconscious boy, his silver body was like a flashlight directed to your face, it was hard to miss its brightness. To Keith it was like the whole universe had collapsed on himself, so when the priestess dragged him out of the water his body didn't make the slightest move to help; He was a mass of dead weight and surely it didn't make it any easier to his rescuer.
As it was natural, Meldresi's first reaction was to pump the nearly-drowned yearling's chest to try to get the water out of his lungs, but there was no response. Keith just laid on the riverfront without breathing, without showing any sign of life besides his slow and weak pulse. The female insisted with her crushing massages, refusing to let the young boy die. She pushed and pushed again, every time harder than the last, and eventually the boy's body unconsciously responded coughing the water out of his mouth, but only to go back to his dead position, this time breathing heavily.

Eventually the limp white body responded, to her relief. Keith coughed up the river water, expelling most of it from his lungs. She had assured his life would continue for the moment, though from the sound of his breathing it was possible that there was more water rested there. She massaged the chest more, softer this time, looking up when Fang arrived. She looked back down examining his body. She suspected foul play; why else would someone his age fall in the river?
"He hit his head and fell into the river not too long ago..." She tenderly moved the skull to show the red blossoming on his forehead. "We need to get him back to Blackfeather. I have a stash of herbs there that I could use. But for now I need to clean the wound and stop the bleeding..." She began cleaning the wound the old fashion way, licking the metallic-tasting liquid and removing anything foreign that she could find.
The senseless boy didn't make any further reaction to the priestess' aid, his body was numb and his mind blacked out. There wouldn't be any help from him further on. The priestess continued with her massages and licked his head wound herself, so far she seemed determined to let the boy live, and he was lucky she found him, because if he'd keep on drifting with the river he would've died in a matter of minutes.
With no response, Meldresi gestured for Fang to come over. "Help me drag him back." She said, grabbing his scruff to keep his head from dragging on the ground and creating further damage. It would take them a while to bring him back, but he needed to get to the dark cool woods where Meldrei's store was.
With Fang helping her, the two pulled the unconcious young male back to the Blackfeather Woods, moving as quickly as they could.
His rescuers were assertive in their decisions, but if Keith was awake he wouldn't have let them take him to the dark woods. Instead, the young northener would've gone straight to Kaname's throat and take a piece of it, and back to Cara, where his loyalty was. Unfortunately he had no choice, and was carried by the dark priestess and fang to Blackfeather.
The trip wasn't an easy one for the Blackfeather wolves, nor was it for Keith, who's body was roughly dragged all the way to the woods. He'd mutter some nonsense from time to time, and a growl would erupt from his throat, but that was all product of his damaged brain trying to rebuild connections and save important information, the only thing that was almost understandable would be "Cara" but if it actually meant something would remain unknown. The silver boy would have a lot of recovering to do, and he was gonna be another mouth for Meldresi to feed, but hopefully he'd be fine to seek revenge one day...
Keep an eye open Kaname...
