The lady of the wood had vanished. With her, the male who had been king had not been seen since the boy had spoken to him last. Kiyoshi had no reason to remain in Kingslend. The boy had noticed the scent of his mother fading as time went on. When the snow started, the young stoic had lost it entirely. He wondered where she had gone, if she had found Toshi. He worried that she had grown to wary of the elken wolves and thought best to simply go elsewhere while he was safe.
