All Welcome
All welcome! @Lótë c: She's now in her area, so I thought I would tag you!

The cloud cover seemed to prevent any light from touching the moist ground, and it made the journey dark and quiet. The canopy appeared to be a cool oasis in the heat of summer. The peachy female was a moth to flame with the idea of isolation beckoning as she slipped into the foliage from the brightness of the daylight. It had been a fairly easy affair to separate herself from her traveling companion for a place to clear her mind. There was much to think about.

There is not a point to continuing a goose chase.

The fireflies within the forest would occasionally blink. A giveaway to their occasional confusion from the darkness that usually came with night, but Creed found it almost endearing as she traveled further from the edge of the forest into the darkest depths. The roots of large trees twisted beneath her paws in knots of over competition. An occasional stumble was caught before she could tumble to the dirt, but she would peek around her each time to ensure there was no audience.

He chose to leave you.

Creed finally came to rest at the side of a small black stream. The quiet purr of it's waters were soothing to her ears, and it quenched the thirst from her trip to seek out such a place. The maiden took a seat beside it, staring into the dark waters in silence. The occasional illumination from the confused bugs being reflected back to pale yellow eyes as she considered her situation.

As the days had drawn on, her conviction for finding a brother whom had abandoned her had waned. She was unsure where to continue to with a young wolf at her side. There was a fear of disappointing Hviske in the face of choosing to remain somewhere. A hidden part of her had grown tired of the travel.

Esme had a whole world of thoughts swirling in her mind, and she could not seem to focus on any one of them. Her mind drifted from worry to worry, first about her siblings, then her living situation, then her homesickness, to the weather, and so on. This was why she had decided to venture out into the forest.

Exploration would pull her out of herself, as she could become absorbed instead in the world around her. Evening drifted into night as the she-wolf loped over gnarled roots and underbrush which thickened as she progressed, and wound among trees which grew closer together and more numerous.

The whisper of water soon rose in her ears. Small points of yellow light intermittently broke through the blackness before disappearing, then lighting again seconds later. She paused by the stream, her jaws agape in awe as she watched the luminous insects. They were fireflies, a creature she had heard of, but not yet seen.

Esme was so entranced, she did not notice the silent female lounging nearby.

Sorry for the slow replies! Working on moving! c:

The peachy female continued her pondering over the watchful mirror of the water. The opportunity to mull her thoughts had been brief in the passing weeks, so it was almost comforting to find herself a moment of peace. That is, until there was another soul upon approach.

Creed heard the stranger before they were seen, and she was careful to keep quiet to gauge the situation. She was hopeful the pale wolf would not mean any harm. The average female shifted to gaze at the other as the fireflies fluttered around her. A beautiful sight in the dark and damp reprieve of the forest.

Pretty, aren't they?

Esme's head flitted about as she traced one bug for a few seconds, then switched her focus to another. The voice from the shadows startled her, and she twitched slightly before turning to face the peach-toned female.

It took a few seconds, but soon her heart slowed and she comprehended what had been said. "Yes... beautiful," she answered with a smile. "I have never seen them before - have you?"
