Saena's pursuit of her Naturalist apprenticeship brought her into the flatlands. The plateau was a wonderful spot for viewing the sky, but Saena knew, whether through her occasional dreams or through common sense, that she couldn't always rely on a high vantage point. It would be important for her to know what weather was coming from anywhere in the wilds.
She moved quickly through the grasslands, her eyes on the sky overhead. There were clouds streaked in random patterns across it. It wasn't the normal cyan, but a slightly stormier blue; nothing to worry about. The clouds themselves were white, so likely the weather would be fair.
She paused to rest at the edge of Whitefish River. After drinking deeply, the pale female sat and began preening her paws, feeling relief seep into then with every gentle tug of her teeth.
