i got permission from will to PP shadow. also about the other thread... well. @Shadow

The grayscale girl was out on an outrider expedition— this time she was with Shadow, her sterling Alpha. As she had been alone when she was on her other similar trips, of course she was glad for some physical comfort of another wolf. And it was Shadow.

She had found herself very much enjoying his company, though the bite of guilt was constantly on her flesh— the possibility of Paarthurnax's indifference towards a situation like this didn't occur to her, though. Crëyr still felt guilt as she spent the cold nights sleeping with each other in their makeshift dens, huddled together as he kept her warm.

They were currently at five days of travel— past Swiftcurrent Creek, over the Sunspire mountains. They were now in some kind of foreign region in the Teekon Wilds, a nice forest. Golden winter sunlight streamed through the branches, casting some sort of warm, ethereal glow on their surroundings. A delicate smile dawned on her lips.

Exploring brought back old memories of being a Swiftcurrent Creek wolf and much as he hated to admit it, he missed life there. He did not bear the burdens of leading a pack, he led the carefree life of a subordinate. There, he had Scimitar for a sparring partner (sure now he hated that male but at that time, it was a relief to practice his skills again), there, he had casual conversations with his packmates. It was at the Creek where he realized pack life not life in hell, where he enjoyed the company of others. But Shadow chose this path and he would have the bear the consequences, both good and bad.

Hopefully it would be good, didn't he suffer enough already?

Everytime he and Crëyr spent a night together, he felt a pang of guilt and pain, reminded of the days he spend with Paarthurnax. He still loved her, and the Roman knew whatever happened he would always love her. But perhaps moving on would be the best decision, after all, he couldn't stop loving her. He was able to share the parts of his heart which the copper eyed female did not steal and keep.

Shadow did not think he'd ever been in this forest before, it was filled with overgrown shrubbery and coniferous tibers, moss covered the trunks of the trees that grew in this forest. Pale golden sunlight made their way through the dense branches of the dense woodland and for once, the Roman was able to appreciate the beauty of the forest. The silver wanderer never liked forests, he felt as if he was suffocating, not being able to see the sky, but once in a while he was able to see through and see its treasure.

shortass post lol but supposed to be studying humanities at the back of the classroom

The small outrider girl padded along the snow, following the Alpha's lead. For once, she was glad that she wasn't in her den, for it would probably suffocate her at this moment. The world was big and beautiful, the wilds wild, and she was glad that she'd been struck with a dose of wanderlust and had been enthusiastic to set out of her den and out into the world.

She weaved her way through the woods, with Shadow, the sunlight a warm yellow glow on Crëyr's pelt. Unsure of whether or not to break the comfortable silence, for she enjoyed it right now, but still she inquired, ”Have you been in this part of the region before?"

”Have you been in this part of the region before?" A wistful smile crossed the Praetor's face as he thought of the carefree days he had as a pack member, a subordinate of Swiftcurrent Creek. Where he could go and explore anywhere, and there were no responsibilities. Well he had responsibilities, but not one of a leader's. He remembered the time when Bazi named him head outrider of the pack, too bad he left soon afterwards. Though he missed the Creek, it was a dead memory now to him, Noctisardor Bypass was his home.

Yes, when I was a member of Swiftcurrent Creek. But I didn't explore this particular forest. Shadow answered, smiling gently at Crëyr and was ultimately reminded of Paarthurnax. But he shoved it away, or tried to, gods, that woman. She knew how to destroy him. But the Roman wasn't going to let memories of his ex ruin this outing with one of his best friends, so he pushed it aside and moved forward. His flank brushing hers as he stepped beside her.

They journeyed, occasionally chatting, fellow outriders having a good time exploring.
