Plot twist.

The night fell early on Blackfeather Woods as it had always been. The little specs of light that sometimes managed to escape through the thick foliage was now entirely gone in most of the territory, and all that was left was the big, full moon shining bright in the firmament over some selected areas. It was a beautiful sight from the clear where Bane had chosen to spend the bright night, a habit he had picked on since his first days as a member of the pack. The moon had always been his only friend, looking after him when everyone else just turned their backs on him.

The stars sparkled in the moon's company, but today their light was nowhere near as bright as the moon itself. The moon was soothing. For the first time in months, Bane was calm, at peace with himself and his surroundings. So he slept, deeply and unconcernedly. The moment his eyelids shut the lights off his mind left the conscious world.

Black.

He was moving deep inside a void blackness that lead nowhere. His pale pelt was the only thing that contrasted with the nothingness in which he was submerged, and his powerful body carried his weight with long and heavy strides that felt as real as they could. There was no sound either, only his breath rumbling in his ears as he walked ahead. He could feel the floor beneath his paws with every step he took, but there was none to be seen, only blackness stretching far out of visual reach. But none of those things broke his peace. He just kept walking forward.

A bark rumbled in the space, Bane's head turned around, scanning the surroundings to locate the source of the sound, but there was nothing else apart from himself there. His ears went crazy, back and forth and back again, but the silence had taken over once again.

A white spot appeared in the distance. It was growing bigger and bigger, and then Bane realized that it was something moving towards him. He narrowed his eyes trying to identify the object. Too far. He walked forward to get a better look, ears perked forward and tail arched over his back, all while the dot kept getting bigger. Suddenly, Bane made out legs out of the white shape, moving rapidly beneath it. It was a wolf. It kept growing closer and it didn't seem to be slowing down, making Bane back up. It was already too late when he finally identified the approaching object as his own body, charging to knock him over and clash in a battle.

It was Keith. And he wanted his body back.

Bane fought back, but Keith had been building up his strength to take over his body, and seeing the chance when Bane let the guard down, he went for it. Stronger than ever. Bane had no change of winning this time. And he didn't.

His breath was heavy when he finally opened his eyes again. Keith had taken over his body again, and was in the middle of a place he didn't know. The arctic looked around, bewildered by the looks of his surroundings. Snow was all over the place, so he was either back in the north or winter had fallen over the southern lands. He knew MoonBane wouldn't go back to the North if he was in control of the body, so it had to be winter. The last time he'd seen the world with his eyes it was Summer, he was sure about that. How long had he been gone?

Blackfeather Woods. He recognized the gloomy forest from the time he met that enigmatic priestess Meldresi back in summer, and by the scent of the place he could tell that she had already claimed the land as her own to settle a pack. It scared him just to think what kind of people would follow her to these lands. He had to leave that place as soon as possible. He looked around again, trying to decide which way to run. He was lost, he couldn't even tell which way was the North. He took a step to his right, but pain struck him, making him yelp in agony. There was something wrong with his left paw, he couldn't walk properly, but he was determined to get out of that place and decided to limp his way across the dark forest and out. There was stuff out there that he needed to fix, and the image of Kaname holding his head underwater was all but forgotten.
