for @Morgana

What an unlucky way to go. Had Jojo the ability to cluck his tongue he would have done so and shook his head at the sight. Humming his way along the fallen log, the brawny male bent to sniff at the bloated carcass of the raccoon drowned in the shallow water. However it had happened, the unfortunate creature had succumb to his tail being crushed by the log at the very edge of the water, which had sealed its fate. Not so good with numbers he couldn't detected how long ago the corpse had submitted to a watery death, but it was fresh enough that only a birds had, had the chance to pluck at it.

Joestar clattered into the water, brushing his nose across the damp body. Tearing it off in small chunks would have been very easy, but the animal was quite hefty and he played with the idea of hording some materials for an odd occasion. And if he was to do just that, he'd need to figure out a way to somehow push the log a little further back and off the tail. Testing its fortitude with a single paw was expectantly useless, and he tilted to try his shoulder next with a jaw clenching heave.

She had been wandering for a few days, nothing realitivly intersesting had been happening ,she was bored. She walked on, thinking about visiting the River. She hadn't been in a little while and, well, had nothing else to do.

She arrived at the river, quickly surveying the peaceful setting. Then she noticed something quite peculiar. It was a wolf, and he seemed to be picking at what looked like the tail of a dead animal. Interesting, she thought to herself. She approached the male, curious to what he was doing. Why was he wasting his time picking at a dead animal when he could perfectly go hunt down a fresh one? She was about to voice her opinion before she thought better. She didn't want to offend the male, she wasn't in the mood for a fight. What are you doing?, she asked with curiosity, her eyes trained in the dead animal. It seemed to be caught by its tail on a log, the result, it's death.

The log shifted slightly, ever just slightly. Jojo stepped back with a exalted sigh, narrowing his eyes at the hunk of wood before he found his attention swept by a dark lurker approaching. She'd got a little too close without him noticing, and he didn't sit well for the male. Leaping a top the log for more leverage, he eyed her with a tilt of his head. There was nothing about her he couldn't place, she was not outwardly aggressive but a enigmatic sense of danger seemed to emitted from her very presence. Like a black cat he took her appearance as a bad omen, and flung his tail over his back. As curious as she looked it might just be a play of innocence.

Hey you! Apparently skipping over her question for one of his own, You're not a vampire, are you? Jutting his muzzle out with the soft accusation, fully prepared to deal with her whatever the answer came to be.

At the sudden movement of the male, she amedialty bared her teeth, hunched, waiting to pounce. When she noticed that he had simply jumped stop the log, she relaxed.

Morgana tilted her head in utter confusement, A vampire?! She wasn't THAT scary... On second thought, maybe she was. She sneered at the ubsturdity of the question, Are you stupid? Of course I'm not a vampire, she spat. The one thing she disliked more than anything was stupid questions, she couldn't help it, it was her nature. Not that she minded. The more she though about it, the more she realized that there may have been something spooky of looking behind you and seeing a pitch black wolf, staring at you. But she smiled at the thought of having that effect. Boy, this wolf wouldn't survive a day in the pack she belonged to.

She shook her head, coming out of her train of thought and redirected her attention to the serious matter at hand, What on EARTH are you doing?, she asked once again, becoming impatient.

Tch. Utterly unmoved by her blatant aggravation at his behavior. He was watching his own back first, manners came second. Huffing at the response that she wasn't a vampire--or so she said, not that he was entirely convinced, he hesitated before releasing the tension from his tail and letting it drop limp behind him. I'm scavenging. Joestar finally relented, though he drawled the answer as if it was the most obvious thing in the word.

Stepping back into the water, he leaned against the log and faced the unnamed female, This raccoon could be valuable. If I can get it out. Not just for the meat either, but he'd known a few shamans who'd love to get their paws on some coon claws, and the pelt wouldn't be half bad either for his own interests. Of course, it was just a raccoon, but maybe karma would be on his side--don't waste this one, and the next time it could have been a wolverine. He wasn't one to walk away from a free prize.

Morgana crinkled her eyebrows at the male's answer. You do know that you can perfectly well go and hunt one down yourself? You're not a crow. Wolves don't "scavenge" , she sneered. It was her absolute dislike towards crows that drove her to say those things. Honestly, our creator (whoever that may be) gave us claws and teeth for a reason, she thought to herself. However, she was curious to see what this male's idea for getting the creature un-stuck was. The lake was realitlvley frozen, which was keeping the log stuck, except for the area where the unfortunate creature had fallen through. Obviously, he would have to break the ice around the log, freeing it from the icey grasp, therefore able to pull the creature out of its watery grave. But there was one fault in her plan, what would stop the creature from sining to the bottom of the river. At that, Morgana offered her help, Can I help? , to her it seemed more of an order than a question, and there was no doubt, she was going to help anyways.

For all the criticism she had to offer, she simply didn't feel the need to walk away and leave him be. For whatever reason that was, Jojo was starting to prefer for that to be the outcome of their encounter. He could have easily chirped in response to her desire to help: I thought wolves didn't scavenge. But he let it be, assuming that he'd probably get an earful in response which would only begin to make his head ache. Shaking his head instead in silent disapproval, the oaf sighed, If you want. He really didn't feel one way or the other about it.

Little did he know the so-called vampire had devised a strategy more tactical than his own. Already frustrated he moved to attempt to keep pushing the log, and aiming to use his brute strength to get the log to shift once more. Not entirely a worthless enough, but very much exhausting.

She walked over to the male, watching his pitiful attempt at moving the log, coming to no avail. She scowled, You're doing it all wrong! You've got to crush the ice, or the log isn't going anywhere!! She began pounding her paws on the ice around the log. Bit by bit, the ice cracked, giving away slowly. Morgana looked back up at the male.
That's how you do it, she smirked.
Sure, she may seem all fight and no brains, but actually she was quite smart, she just didn't show it.
Inside she felt please with herself, outsmarting another. It want everyday she got to do that. However, she still had to figure out how to get the creature out the water.
Here, you do it and I'll move the log. She said.

He spent a moment too long dumbfounded at her superior technique. Embarrassed heat flushed to his face and fueled his hotheaded nature. Had he not been so rudely interrupted Jojo insisted to himself that he would have figured it out himself. And now he was suppose to be taking orders?! His eyes narrowed, expression dissolved into a heavy frown where hers laid a proud smirk. These damn women, he thought to himself, nearly at his wits' end after this hit to his rather sensitive ego. He moved to block her.

I will move it. Do what you do, and catch the raccoon before it drifts. The dead body would most likely float a while before sinking, but should the current catch it quickly they he'd end up on a chase. And the last thing he wanted to do was swim around after a dead raccoon, it just another excuse to look like a fool at this point. Perhaps getting this over and done with would improve his mood, at the moment he was fueled on sputtering pride.

She frowned at the male's, defiance against her. But she went along with it, her mind on the prize. The ice began to crack and soon the creature would be free, and into Morgana's mouth. The log shifted a bit, and the raccoon began to get unstuck. Morgana pulled at its tail, it began to move ever so slightly.
She tugged at it some more, almost unstuck, all the male had to do was crack the ice some more and it would be free.
She began to ponder what would happen after the creature was unstuck. Surely the male would share the feast, not keep it to himself, after all, she helped.
She studied the male, he was quite handsome, his pelt a variety of colors ranging from black to cream. His structure was sturdy but agile, the perfect warrior. She shook her mind from those thoughts, she didn't have time for that.
She had some food to catch....literally.

If there was one skill Joestar mastered it was how to use his brute strength. Squinting in concentration as the hunk of wood gave away inch by inch, his ears caught the sound of crackling ice below. It was working! If he could tame his ego after it was all done, he might actually express his gratitude--not that he wasn't grateful either way. With a snort it surrenders, rolling several inches at once as a result. The coon was free. His head whipped over his shoulder to gaze expectantly at Morgana, panting with exhaustion.

Morgana didn't know what to do. Sharing wasn't her thing. And she didn't want to share with such a rude wolf. She began feeling mischevious. She would get her way..

IM A VAMPIRE!!!! She screamed at the male, taking the racoon in her mouth and making a run for it. She skidded across frozen river, the raccoon swinging by its tail in her mouth.
She stood on the other side of the river looking pleased, she had got what she wanted.
She was about to turn away from the river, heading back to her den for the night when she heard a faint crack. Looking back, a thin crack began streaaching across the river. The sound got louder as the crack backs bigger, branching off in different directions. The ice was cracking. She couldn't believe that their pounding on the ice was what caused the break. No, it was something else. The air was changing, it was getting warmer. She scowled, she hate the summer. It was too...happy. The nights would be light and the days would be sunny, it just wasn't her type. But she had to admit, chasing butterflies were actually really fun. Mainly because they never knew what hit them.
She turned her attention back to the male. She smirked at him then turned her back and walked away. Actually she was hoping that he would run after her and fight for it back, but then he thought she was a vampire...how stupid.

Being a vampire would have been enough for Joestar to run over and kick her ass, but now she was messing with his food. His face twisted into a wicked snarl anger flaring from upright angle of his raised hackles. Bitch! He cursed in his head, immediately galloping after her with such swift speed he didn't notice the ice crackling just behind his thundering paws. The woman though was lighter on her feet, Jojo's bulk hindering him in that aspect but he'd built up his stamina for such situations, and he would find her and possibly rip off her ear--if only to mark her as thief.

Too cocky for her own good, the black she-devil slowed to a natural gait though he continued to barrel in on her with all the force of quarterback. Attempting to launch himself into such a way that he would pull up and viciously yank his fangs into her scruff.

One more post for me after this I think.

Morgana smiled, he was catching up to her. She wasn't stupid, a wolf of his size could easily finish her. And over a soggy dead thing. She glanced behind her to see the ravenous face of the male, intent on getting his prize back. Thinking fast she swung her head back and aimed the dead creature at his face, hoping for it to smack right into him, giving her a chance to get away. She didn't want more than she bargained for.
