For @Damien and @Ohen :D

His time was limited. The dog strode through the fields on thin, weary legs, his heavy-lidded eyes unfocused and lacklustre. The gnawing hunger that engulfed his stomach was unbearable — so much so that he had to stop every so often to regain his strength from merely walking. If it weren't for the pain that seemed to originate from every nerve ending in his body, Reaper would have thought he had crossed into the afterlife already. Tiny flowers, signalling the beginning on spring, sprouted from the ground haphazardly, and the dog resisted simply falling into the welcoming earth.

For some reason, he pushed onwards, compelled by some instinctual drive.

Food was the only thing the beast desired. Food and rest. Once he had the former, he could finally succumb to sleep. And he knew it would be a very, very long sleep. Coming to a slow halt, the mutt gazed up at a tall forest shadowed in darkness. The scent of wolves was thick here, and he raised a lip to show yellowed teeth in retaliation. "Wolvvessssss..." he growled lowly, almost as if in challenge to the hidden wild canines. They would have food. They always had food. Arching his back, dirty fur bristling and eyes flashing maliciously, Reaper slunk into the shadows of the woods.

indentFinally, the night child had managed to slip through his mother's fingers, he didn't want that bloody bath, he was clean! He didn't like the way mommy treated him like a child, he was no longer a pup, he would soon be a warrior of the Brotherhood, did she not see? Well, he would have to show her. He strode out of the den and into the shadows once again, looking for some trouble as if he hadn't had enough. Perhaps he would find a real trespasser this time.

indentAnd he did.

indentIt wasn't a small weasel like some weeks ago, this time it was the real deal. A wolf-like creature, though Damien knew it wasn't quite a wolf, not bigger than many adults the pup had seen around the forest. Dark fur and a single pointy ear. It was tailless, like Burke, and it's eyes red, just like Damien imagined a dragon's eyes would be.

indentThe night child jumped out of the shadows, imposing just as a Dark Brother would be, and with a growl he said "Stop there, flea bag." that one was new. At almost four months of age, Damien had incredible communicative skills, and not only in the common tongue, Meldresi had already started to teach the pup the roots of a couple other interesting Languages.

indent"These are claimed lands, didn't you know that?" he said, trying to sound just as intimidating as Burke when he said it.

Not sure if I'm suppose to bring Ohen into this madness yet, but if not just let me know and I'll edit this out ;)

Ohen had a lot on his mind. He enjoyed being here in the dark forest, but at the same time he wanted to be out there exploring the world. It was a hard decision everyday to either go on an adventure or stay and help out the pack. Today he decided to stay in Blackfeather and patrole the boaders, but later he hoped to go for a run outside the territory and meet some more wolves.

He was making his way to the boader when he came across a familiar scent. He remembered that scent from the story telling session and began to follow it. the ebony male causally followed Damien's scent, taking his good old time and stopping every now and then when something caught his attention. Ohen had no idea the possible danger the youngster could be in.

Sorry for the delay! Haha, and no problem, Kara!

Of course, his search for food was short-lived, almost immediately being interrupted by a shadow of a wolf, no larger than himself. Perhaps smaller even. He was not full grown, that was for sure. Reaper came to a halt as he regarded the defensive young wolf, his lips pulled back into a curved grin. He barely registered his words, though he knew he was in the wrong here, and the boy was aggravated by his actions. He simply stared back silently, realising this opportunity. Fresh meat.

The dog lurched a step forward, before slowly taking a few more and breaking into an all-out sprint towards the boy. His heart thudded with excitement and from the sudden exertion. He knew this was a suicide mission should the pack encounter them, but he also knew that it was a chance to relieve the pain of his empty stomach, to satisfy his hunger for meat. He was already salivating.

indentIt had teeth. Rotten and ugly but they were teeth, and in just one second they were charging at full speed at him, giving the night child just enough time to realize that he was just about to have his first real encounter with another creature. He felt ready, sufficient, maybe he was a bit cocky, but he felt that Burke had been a great master, only less greater than Damien had been a student. And he felt ready to take the blow.

indentAnd he did.

indentHe couldn't evade the teeth, which sank right into the back of his neck. But he had been fast enough to lower his body and avoid being tackled by the wight, which had let go off his neck. He was also smart enough to know that the dog was weak, and so he took a step back and waited for it to make it's next move. He didn't yet know how little chance he would have to defent from this dog with the little experience ha had in the field, but he was excited about it; scared, yes, but really excited.

Ohen continued towards Damien only to catch the scent of something else. Something that didn't belong. The ebony male picked up his pace to find the youngster, but wasn't completely concerned. He just assumed it was a wolf at the boarders that wanted to cause trouble, and in Ohen's mind, a wolf would be foolish to try and fight a wolf of Blackfeather. No matter what the age. So the dark male made his way towards Damien and what he believed to be a lone wolf.

However it was not a wolf at all. When Ohen came upon the dark youngster, and spotted the strange beast he froze and tried to figure out what the creature was. It most certainly was not a wolf, but it still looked to be some type of canine. The thing that freaked Ohen out the most was the creature's red eyes, and the ebony male stood still trying to comprehend what was going on.

He felt his teeth connect with the soft fur of the pup's neck, and his bloodlust increased tenfold. Despite his weak state, he closed his jaws around the other's flesh as hard as he could in an attempt to puncture the skin, to get at the warm blood underneath. However, the boy was fast, and had managed to avoid the brunt of his attack, easily slipping from his grip as soon as he was able. Reaper backed up a few paces as his prey did the same, lowering his head as he snarled again. He would not be getting away.

The dog readied himself to lunge again, before a shadow moved in his peripheral vision, and he swung his head around to meet a large wolf, his silver eyes flashing out at him from amongst the trees. Reaper's own gaze narrowed and he barked savagely at the intruder who dared interrupt the fight. This was between him and the young boy alone, he didn't want — or need — another coming in to ruin his chances.

Snapping his attention back to the boy in question, he quickly ran at him again, jaws open aiming to latch onto the front side of his neck. If he could kill him, perhaps the other would no longer desire to defend his precious pack mate.

The grip loosened quickly as Damien shifted his weight away from the beast. He had been quick, he had done what Burke had taught him to do in such situation. He would have been proud to see him right then. But the fight hadn't finished, and the pup rose to his feet to face the beast.

And then, just before the attacker went in for the neck again, Ohen came into the scene, like a scared pup watching the prince be attacked without doing nothing. Damien, for as proud as he was, snarled for Ohen to come and help him get rid of the dog, but Ohen did nothing. He just stood there like a statue. Coward.

And then the dog striked again, this time with ten time the energy than before, and it was too much for Damine alone. He got the hit. Right in his chest and only a few centimeters below the soft skin of his neck. But it gave him te opportunity to take the dog's ear and pull away with all the strength he had as his chest was being pierced deeply by the mutt's rotten teeth.

After a few moments passed by, Ohen finally realized what was going on. He was not someone to kill another, but pack was family to him and he made an exception to kill for family. The dark male wasted no more time and bolted forward to attack the red eyed mut. It was truly a hideous creature in the male's eyes, and it look like the poor creature had been possessed by a demon. Maybe it would be best to put the freaky canine out of its misery?

Ohen aimed for Reaper's neck, wanting this whole killing thing to be overwith. If he was going to end someone's life he wanted his victim to feel little to no pain, and make it a quick death for them. What was the point in letting someone suffer anyways? It was cruel and inhumane, and that was not Ohen. The dark male probably would have gone to his den and gave the strange creature some food, but the red eye canine made the mistake of attacking a packmate. Only time would tell how long Reaper would live for, and the clock was ticking.

Feel free to pp as needed :D My next post will be my last one!

He managed to hit his mark once again and, this time, was determined not to let go of it. Grabbing at the loose skin covering the boy's chest, Reaper latched on with a vice-like grip, saliva dripped from his jaws. He had aimed for the neck but the pup had moved out of the way just in time, and so the dog quickly readjusted to try and roughly force him to the ground and pin him. There, he could feast in front of the pack mate watching on from the shadows. However, pain suddenly seared from his single remaining ear as his prey retaliated. He howled in pain, letting go of the boy.

It was then that the stranger made his move, running in and lunging for Reaper's own neck. The mutt barely had time to register the invasion before he himself was forced to the ground, buckling under the weight of the much larger male. His snarls ripped from his throat, savage and wild, and the dog twisted as he tried to free himself from the choking grip of the dark wolf.

His counter-attack had been successful, releasing him from the dog's deadly grip. Damien's chest was bleeding heavily, and the pain was unbearable for the pup. But he was still ina fight he was determined to win, and he tre off the ear he had taken grip of. That was the first time he'd done something like that, and the rush he felt from it was just as strange as it was axciting. He had gone into a state of fury he'd never been in, and he didn't know how to control it.

As the weight of the dog was put away from him by Ohen's strong tackle, Damien, blinded by the frenzy jumped to take a piece himself, going for the face himself as Ohen suffocated the victim by the neck. He got a few bites, but the damage he was doing was far greater than the dog's on him. Reaper had found his end this day, and Damien had exposed a side of him not even he knew.

Ohen felt as his attack connected with the mutt's neck. Blinded by the fact the the strange canine beast had attacked a packmate, Ohen showed no mercy to him. He let go of the dog's neck only to bite down on it again, and began to shake his head hoping to end the creature's life faster. The ebony male could see Damien out of the corner of his eye, and watched as he too attacked the beastly animal. A growl erupted through Ohen, as he ended the mutt's life. Why did the boy have to be here, the dark male thought to himself. If only Damien wasn't here, then this pathetic creature may have been able to live a while longer.

The more Ohen thought about killing the dog, the more he accepted it. He was doing the canine a favor right? The mutt wouldn't have lasted much longer by the looks of it. Once he felt the dog go limp in his jaws, Ohen dropped the creature and sat infront of it waiting for the prince's reaction.

Thanks for the thread, guys!

The sounds of the scuffle echoed throughout the pressing silence of the forest as the wolves subdued the dog with ease. The moment he was overpowered by the dark stranger the strength left his limbs and the pup's blood that slicked across his muzzle did nothing to encourage him to continue to fight. His snarls lessened in intensity, both a sign of defeat and from the pressure upon his windpipe as the wolf clenched down with powerful jaws. Even as the boy moved to attack his face, Reaper could only feebly snap back at him as his growls weakened and grew fainter.

It was with a few final rough shakes from the wolf that finally caused the skin he held onto to rip open, exposing the bloody flesh of a torn throat underneath. The dog had barely drew in his last breath before the world faded from view and the pain and panic ceased. With an unceremonious thud, his limp body was dropped to the ground, face bloodied, a single red eye open and staring blankly ahead.

@Ohen if you don't mind keeping this thread going on for a bit longer I would like to develop Damien's fury syndrome with this oportunity. Maybe Ohen tries to calm him down or runs the helll away to save his ass xD

Even when the mutt stopped breathing, and his life left his already rotten body, the night child in the middle of his first fury seizure kept on tearing off pieces of skin from the mutt's face, even after Ohen pulled away. He only stopped to catch his breath, and the way his eyes looked seemed demonized. He wasn't himself in that particular moment.

His heavy breath. His face covered in blood. His expression. All of those things made him look like a demon come out of the depths of hell. He wouldn't remember this when it ended.

Hehe this should be good. Lol Ohen's face right now!

Ohen didn't like the look of the strange canine's red eye staring at him like that. The ebony male reached out and gently swiped a paw over Reaper's face to put the eyelid over his eye. A sigh came from the male and he stood to walk away when he realised Damien was still attacking the dead dog. Ohen made a weird face at the boy, as he had no idea why he was attacking something that was already dead.

"Umm kid, it's dead" the male said and watched to see the boy's reaction. Damien looked like he had been possessed by a damn demon, and Ohen didn't want to get close to the creepy ass kid.

Last post! Thanks for letting me have Damien act like a demon in front of Ohen ;D

Ohen's words were of little use, all Damien could hear were deafening buzzes in his head, and a thick veil of white made his sight unuseful. At least conciously, because the beast that had taken control of Damien's body could clearly see the blood spilling out of the corpse's body. And how attractive it looked. But it was starting to get cold, and cold blood didn't do it for him.

Ohen was warm.

The demonized pup leaped forward to attack Ohen with his teeth, he wanted his death, he wanted it quickly, but suddenly a sting shot him, running all over his body putting him out of combat. Unconcious in the cold floor, the night child's pulse started to slow down, and the heat faded away, leaving the old Damien behind, with no memory of the attack and no energy to get up. He would have to be taken care of by his mother.
