It had been a while since Rhythm had seen the familiar borders of the place she once called home. The place looked and felt familiar but also so much had changed. The whole atmosphere of the place was different. Rhythm approached the borders of the valley hopeful that the wolves, her former pack mates, would accept her back into their ranks. She had missed this place and everyone who came with it.

She had spent just over a month wandering aimlessly around the wilds. To what purpose she didn't know. She hadn't missed the life of a lone wolf so what made her want to leave the valley hadn't really come up. She had jsut left. Which she knew was a betrayal to the fellow members of the pack. Especially to Scarlett and Kove. She had been there to help found the pack when they first arrived in the valley yet she joined the ranks of the wolves who left them. That she felt guilty for.

Rhythm stopped at the main entrance and let out a howl. Calling for the Alpha's whom she hoped were still Scarlett and Kove. Who knows things may have changed more than she thought.

She's back. This could make for an interesting thread. @Raziel All welcome but Raziel first XD

Ever since the birth of Scarlett's children, Raziel had been patrolling the borders, when he wasn't patrolling the borders, he was hunting. But mostly, the Alpha was keeping an eye out for any potential intruders or lone wolves that he deemed too close to his home. Things were going to be different around here with the pups in the Valley and with him as the leader. They would not let just any wolf in anymore, they had to prove themselves worthy of entering their ranks first, it was the only way the Valley could be safe from slackers and lazy wolves.

Raz had been hunting when the howl rang through the air, the voice was familiar and he knew who it was immediately. Rhythm. Why had he recognized her voice? One, because she was his packmate. Two, because he had quite liked her when they conversed by the island last time. But things were different now, and the Roman could no longer be as lenient to wolves as before. So he set out quickly, silver paws skimming gracefully over the grassy ground before finally arriving at the entrance.

His tail rose over his back and the Roman walked regally, head held high and eyes analyzing the girl. By his posture, it was clear what his rank in the Valley was and if she did not submit to him, her journey to redeeming herself in his eyes would be harder. "Rhythm," Raziel said in his lightly accented voice and tilted his head slightly. "Come to join once more?"

It wasn't long before Rhythm caught sight of one of her former pack mates. However not the wolf she expected to see. This wolf was not Kove or Scarlett but in fact Raziel. What happened to Kove and Scarlett? Hd they gone, stepped down, or had their authority tested and overrun? Questions began to roam through the silver fae's mind but at this moment in time there were more important things to worry about than curiosity.

Rhythm lowered her head just inches from the ground and her tail hung low in submission. Ears tucked to the side of her head. Even though she knew him she was not going to test his authority by remaining the way she was. She would however, like to succeed in her mission to rejoin the valley.

"Raziel, it's been a while hasn't it?" she started in a soft tone. "If it wouldn't be too much of a burden, yes. I promise that I would earn my keep," she stated with a small nod and eyes that showed a hint of determination.

Rhythm submitted to him, though Raziel would have preferred it if she lowered her whole body to the ground, she had left the Valley without a word after all and therefore if she wished for another chance, she should be begging him, begging him for a place back in their ranks, begging to earn his trust back and the trust of the rest of the pack. But it would have to do for now, not everyone here was trained in the ways of Rome and not everyone was suitable to living in such circumstances. Rhythm was a good soul, and Raz had truly liked her, but he couldn't just let her in because of that, he wasn't Scarlett, he wouldn't let someone he loved in back into the ranks just because he loved them.

"It's been a while, yes," the Roman said in his lightly accented tone. "You swore fealty to the former white king and queen last time you were here, but you abandoned them, you abandoned us when it mattered the most," he was speaking of Kove's absence and Scarlett's pregnancy. "There are puppies here now, children of Kove and Scarlett, and it is my duty as Alpha to ensure no untrustworthy and disloyal wolf enters our ranks. You left us the first time, why won't you do the same now?"

Raziel was a harsh leader, harsher than Kove and Scarlett and very territorial. But they had been too soft before, and as far as he was concerned, he was doing the right thing for the pack, for Bearclaw Valley.

Rhythm further lowered herself to the ground belly now touching the ground. She was feeling guiltier by the second and she didn't try to hide it in her eyes. How could she have been so stupid? She left the pack. Abandoned them. She wouldn't be surprised if half of them didn't trust her anymore. What reason do they have that they should.

"I was naive. Not to mention stupid. I know what I did was wrong. Leaving you guys when I knew that pups were on there way soon. Please give me another chance. To prove to you that I am worthy of your acceptance. I won't do that again. I swear on my life," she had been left no other choice but to beg. She looked up at the Silver wolf in front of her.

She remembered the first time she had met him. He always looked like he would eventually lead a pack. She didn't expect it to be Bearclaw valley but here he was. Leading a pack he could now call his own. Snapping back to reality she managed to get out one more word "Please.." and then she waited. To hear what Raziel would have to say.

Sorry it's taking me so long to reply. A lot of stuff is happening irl and im struggling to find time. I should be able to post periodically. Sorry again :l

Raziel watched stoically as the silver wolfess lowered herself further to the ground, her vulnerable belly touching the dirt and earth that made up the main entrance. Good. At least she knew her place now. He didn't need any rebels here, not when just he managed to get the Alpha role away from Kove, no, the Valley must thrive for a little while longer before the Inuit took over its reins and brought it to its doom. If Rhythm was to join their pack, she would join as a loyal member to the Valley first and foremost, and then as a loyal wolf to him.

"Your life, hmm?" Raziel cocked his head and regarded the female with unyielding green eyes. "Romans, like me, take that oath very seriously. If you do indeed leave again and abandon us without notice, I swear to all the gods above that I, and the rest of the pack will take your life if we ever see you again. I will be merciful and not chase you down, but if you dare show your face here again after abandoning us once more..."

His tail flicked behind him threateningly.

What he said next scared her for a moment. His gaze cold and hard. She didn't regret what she said though because she meant every word of it. If she managed to betray these wolves again then she did not deserve anyone else's loyalty and living the life of a lone was not for her.

She was thankful that he would not chase her down if she left again but she was never to show her face around here again. That she understood. However. She didn't plan on leaving, ever again. So that was something she chose not to think about again. "Yes," she stated. "My life.

It was clear to Rhythm now this was not a wolf to mess with. However she knew that the moment she had met him. That night on the island, that seemed now like a long time ago.

Yes, she said unwaveringly and firmly. She was stupid to do such a thing, because Raziel kept these promises and he would kill her without mercy if she abandoned them and dared show her face here once more. But she was brave at the sametime, and the resolute way she spoke won him over.  But that bravery was a stupid kind of bravery, but then, bravery was only a sugercoated and nice word for stupid reckless idiot. He supposed, Rhythm had it in her to join again.

His hard, weathered and cold gaze softened as he regarded her silently. "Welcome home, Rhythm," he said quietly and trotted forward, bumping his shoulder to hers first to mark her with his scent, then dipped his muzzle into her scruff and nuzzled it affectionately. He had been harsh to her, yes, but then she had just been an outsider. Now she was his packmate, and she was home. Now, she was his family.

"Welcome home," he murmured into her scruff.

After Rhythm finished her begging and confirming Raziel's question about whether or not she meant what she said about swearing her life to the pack. She looked into his eyes which immediately softened. Something had changed in him. The defensive slightly angry wolf was gone, instead replaced with the sweet and loyal wolf she had remembered fro the last time she was in the valley.

She smiled  and rose slowly as he nuzzled into her fur, covering her in his scent and scent of the pack and valley. Her once again home. She gave and affectionate nudge into Raz's shoulder. "Thank you," she said. "For everything," she finished. In this case she was referring to him letting her back into the pack and for welcoming her home and for forgiving her, somewhat.

"You know, I missed this place," she stated looking down into the valley. She wondered if she remembered all the entrances other than the obvious one which was standing right in front of her. And the wolves in it. She thought to herself.

He sighed inaudibly as he nuzzled her fur. He wondered if he was doing the right; letting her back in Bearclaw Valley. What if she was a spy of sorts? What if she had some secret, well hidden motive hidden in her sleeve. Stop it, Raziel. It will be nice to have her back. He could only hope that her words were genuine and that she was being honest with him, because if she was not, then there would be serious consequences for both her and himself. And the Alpha was tired, so tired of everything.

"I wouldn't be thankful yet," he replied with a weary smile as she spoke and backed away, straightening himself. He dipped his head slightly, licking his ruffled chest fur before he raised his proud silver crown once more, fixing his turquoise stare firmly on her. He canted his head and beckoned her to follow him. "Come on, I can't have you standing here all day. You've got work to do."
