Built and colored like a grizzly bear, Arktos is primarily a deep brown, while his extremities are nearly black. His color becomes lighter in an upwards gradient, starting with a dull pine that fades to a rich oak at the peak of his shoulders. Approaching nearly five years old, Arktos is well past his prime. His teeth are yellowed with age. Beneath his fur various scars are gnarled into his flesh, badges of honor from countless battles both won and lost. Only a quarter of his tail remains. Due to his optic neuropathy, he may be referenced squinting his left eye.

Arktos' body is that of a true mesomorph, record-breaking in size thanks to his gigantism with broad shoulders and rippling muscle, held up by stout legs. Acromegaly has caused the flesh above his dull bronze eyes to protrude, making them appear smaller. His fur is thick and surprisigly uniform in length and density.

He walks in a slow, skulking manner with his shoulder blades often carried higher than his head. Due to his slow gait and incredibly blasé nature, many assume him to be witless — such an assumption is a dangerous mistake. Tread carefully.
