Children were always going missing. It was novel to Chagak still; most disappearances had been before his birth, or else in his foggiest memories. Katmai. Carlisle and Brockleigh. Nutuyikruk. All names he'd had no faces for, and only one of them had returned. He'd been fascinated by Katmai for this fact — but now it was Seelie. He didn't know her well, but she was part of the tumbling trio he'd grown so used to seeing around the territory. She was the first of the three he'd come to know by sight, being the most easily identifiable of the litter.
Chagak was deeply worried for her, and he took the task of searching for her very seriously. The fact that she'd been stolen was especially frightening; he stuck close to his brothers so that he might not be alone if or when he found her abductor.
He was not afraid for his own life, but he worried he would not be able to take down an adult wolf without help.
Having found nothing thus far, Chagak veered back toward his brothers. He did not want to howl, lest they alert the abductor that there were seal hunters on his tail, but he quickly picked up the scent of @Sirmiq.
"Anything?" he asked without much hope.
