Unknowingly, Seff's first birthday had arrived, and against the odds he was a healthy, thriving pup. Though the absensce of siblings was lonely for the little pup, it went that he was the sole provider of his mother's love and sustinence, and that he was growing quickly. His paws and head were comically large, and he had begun pestering his mother, chasing her tail and attacking her legs when she walked. He had yet to steep his first word, though his babbling was becoming slightly more ledgible.
Today, he played just outside the den his mother had picked in the woods. He skittered through the dry leaves, squeaking excitedly as he pounced and tumbled through the few leaves that had escaped the locusts ravage. It may have been good for him to meet another pup, seeing as his social skills may not develope exactly as was the norm per lack of siblings to play with. However, the pup being unaware that he could even have had siblings, lived in blissful ignorance of the fact.
@Terich-mir @Vuk and @Zaavier perhaps?

Zaavier's slender ears picked up the sound of rustling a couple yards away. He was unaware that he was so close to another wolf, and being as social as he is, he hobbled over. He knew there was a pup among he ranks, but actually meeting him was a surprise to him. He didn't know why, but it did. The small thing was scampering around around the few dead leaves that lay upon the early summer ground. He eyed the puppy with amusement and stepped out of the bushes, tail wagging. He knelt down so he was almost eye level with the little warrior and gave him a warm smile. "Hey bub." He rumbled with a chuckle. "Playing with the leaves, I see? They're great, especially in the fall." He doubted the little pup had any idea what he was saying, but he said it anyways.
"They fall from all the trees and cover the ground. Then, you can scoop them up into big ol' piles and jump in them! I used to do that all the time as a kid." He smiled again as the happy memories seeped into his mind again. He played with Jackal, Lainey and Mirabell when she was still alive and well. They would tustle with each other through the leaves. Laika and Raynar would often come over too. He remembered Laika as a puppy... a white blob of weirdness. Then there was Osprey, but no one cared about him. He was the bitch of the family and Zaavier could care less if he was murdured and no one found his body. Shaking those images from his head, he focused on watching little Seff play.

Seff, not at all taken back by the new wolf, listened with rapt attention as the strange voice spoke. An odd sound sprang from the wolves throat, something that Seff, after a moment, identified as a happy sound. He flopped onto the ground, staring at the wolf. After a moment, when he was finished speaking, Seff darted into a small pile of leaves, tiny teeth closing around a rather large brown one. With great pride, he tawdled over to the new wolf and placed his gift in front of the wolf's huge face. "Soooss eaas! sos eas, eeassss!" He exclaimed in delight. Leaves! He prodded the wolf's face with a tiny paw, erupting into giggles as he touched the wolf's lip."eeeeeeee! niisss amma ooooooo!"

Zaavier watched the little king trot over to the largest leaf he could find. Then he turned back to Zaavier and dropped it in front of him, babbling nonsense the whole time. If he was his father, he may be able to understand some of his words because he was around him all the time, but the lanky brute had absolutely no idea what Seff was saying. "Damn you're cute." Zaavier laughed as he made the biggest, most happiest face he could possible muster. "Oh, my gosh, this leaf is amazing!" He exclaimed with enthusiasm. Anything to make the kid happy right? He picked the leaf up in his mouth and pretended to examine it. "You found quite the leaf there, bub. Hey, can you say lllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaffffffffff?" He said, lengthening the word as much as possible and trying to enunciate as best he could. Maybe he could teach him one of his first words? He doubted that it would be his first ever word, but it would make Zaavier proud if he could teach this little prince something.
Usually, Zaavier was known for teaching pups swear words. Back in his own pack, before he left with Laika, he would hang out with some of the younger pups and teach them how to say stuff. That usually ended with a very mad parent, but it was always worth it. However, over the years Zaavier had grown much more mature... at least when he wanted to be.

So many fun memories for Zaavier in this thread... :D

The wolf made what the pup recognized as a happy face, and Seff tumbled over in excitment. "Aaa eeeaaaazzzzz! eaas!" he shrieked as he got back up. Seff decided then that this one was a good wolf, and that he was a happy wolf. He approached the wolf's face, peering at his big ears. "ooohs" he mumbled, they were huge! He growled, for suddenly the ears were might enemies! He, Seff, needed to do something about this. The boy aimed a swipe at the ears, trying out a tiny bark. He leapt backward before dropping and 'stalking' toward Zaavier. He gave his fiercest tiny growl and lunged at the ears, paws extended along with his tiny, needle like claws.

Zaavier's ears pricked as he listened to the boy's attempt to say leaf. He couldn't help but chuckle. "You're almost there little one, almost there!" He said, congratulating the pup, even though Seff probably didn't care. Soon, the puppy was by the side of his head, barking and clawing at his ear. Now, a puppy screaming in your ear is not that pleasant. Seff was lucky he was cute. Zaavier wiggling his ear back and forth, talking to the little King the whole time. He told him some battle moves that he knew, even though Seff most likely didn't understand. But maybe he did? Maybe he would grow up to be an exceptional fighter?

The ear moved! Seff yipped in alarm at the moving thing, backing off a moment. The male spoke to him, and Seff felt happy. He liked his new friend, Eaazz, quite a bit. He made a happy little sound as he toddled toward the wolf's side, sniffing his fur. He had begun to realize that wolves had different scents, and that this one smelt different from Mother and black wolf. With a coo, Seff scrambled onto the wolf's shoulders, draping himself over the wolf's back as he struggled to get up. Seff felt quite comfortable in the new male's company. Why would he feel differnt? No one had shown him anything other than kindness and love in his short life, and at the moment, Seff was pretty convinced that all wolves were nice and loved him. Of course, that would not last long.

Little Seff grew quite alarmed and excited once Zaavier moved his ear and the lanky man stopped. He didn't want to freak the little one out too much. He rested he head on his paws again with a long sigh of content. He remembered when he was Seff's age. Those were the best months. His eyes trailed the little King as he waddled around the Zaavier's side, curiosity shining bright in the babe's eyes.
He watched with a smirk as he attempted to climb atop his shoulders. He had made it most of the way there, but remained draped over his shoulders, hind end wriggling and legs kicking to accomplish his task. Zaavier leaned back and gave him a nudge with his nose, boosting the pup up onto his bony shoulders. He glanced up at him in amusement. "How's the weather up there? It's not too bad down here." He chuckled, tail swishing. He continued to watch Seff closely, ready to come to the rescue if the puppy began to fall. His shoulder's were not too far from the ground below, but Zaavier was not about to risk anything.

The wolf spoke, and Seff gurgled happily. He quite liked this one, he decided, much like he like Reek, soon to be known as Hiram. But he soon tired of his game, for climbing atop Zaavier had proven quite the challenge. So, with a little gurgle, he stopped his kicking and slid down the happy wolf. His little worm tail lashing excitedly, he bound back to his den, suddenly hungry and wanting the milk-giver (mother) to feed him.
