All Welcome
It had been a long time.

Chakliux had not yet returned. She tried not to think on it too hard, to not force her mind down dark passages with a simple question.

But winter had come, and the scent of something on the wind from deeper in the wilds made her itch beneath her skin. She had no idea what to call it, but it made her mantle stand on end. So, she began to pull from Moontide, just for small amounts of time. Marina was her focus, but she was hunting for them, she said. For the boy that was in her lodge as well.

Tullik scaled a small, stout mountain today, on the cusp of a greater range beyond it, and huffed a short breath into the air. The scent of birds haunted this place, and this late in the year she was not sure she could find eggs, or chicks to prey on. So, she turned her eyes to the sky for a stray juvenile, or an incapacitated adult.

temporarily swept back to the warmer shores of saltlight, the dryad returned to continue his mission in nursing the deadwood back to health. though gone longer than what the earthly man would have preferred, he felt no regret in his time away. returned to watch his children choose their path of nature, of the nymphs, he felt only pride in the pit of his beating chest.

daughters of the sea and stars, a son of the forest. blessed was he to watch them ascend, to watch their spirits link with nature. it was a step every child of the nymphs took, one he had taken so many moons ago.

on his path to eagerly return to his found home, the songs of gulls overhead pressed him onwards. though it was not the scent of bird that halted his steps. rather, it was the sweet aroma of a stranger that made his neck crane upwards. eyes of warm magma fixated atop the peak, curious if he would catch a glimpse of the wanderer.

A flicker of pale fur, dancing in the corner of her eye.

Tullik’s pale head dropped, twisting to face the approaching stranger with a wide eyed look, like a kid with their hand in the cookie jar. He was a large figure even from a distance and she coughed.

I greet you. She called.

Hunting was easier with a partner, she was sure.
