backdated to april 28 :) @Kusuma for visibility

A black-tipped ruff crests the lazy curve of a sand dune.

There they are -- the cinnamon ears and the watchful gaze. She holds the body of a burrowing owl in her mouth, its long legs swaying like a windchime with every step.

Her body obscures the flare of the rising sun for a moment as she passes along the borders. She follows a straight path but her mind meanders with fondness back to her darkwoman and her soot-sprite sun.

Asun finds a scent marking nearby a bladed yucca; chooses to sit down next to it and sends up a clear howl for @Zoug and @Sari, only known to her by name.

A call for Zoug and S'ari — but not for her.

Curiosity drove Candle to the borders then, the faint question of whether she ought to feel insulted. She just wasn't sure. The priestess might have blamed new motherhood, but then, S'ari had been named.

Her approach was cautious, steps light as she approached the reclined figure at their doorstep. You call Tribe? Candle raised her voice to let it carry across the distance still between them. Her tone betrayed none of her confusion, but the question was mirrored in her eyes. What did this woman want?

S'ari came soon afterwards to stand beside Candle. She said nothing, though her eyes lit with little fires, dancing in curiosity. Her body language remained calm and curious, though bouncy as a pup's, tail wagging, tongue lolling. But she left the speaking to Candle--Candle who, not so long ago, would not have spoken at all. And that was why S'ari said nothing. To give her friend time to practice speaking aloud and with confidence.

kusuma woman, he told candle quickly, using the swift motions before he turned to s'ari and made the same. "tribe."

she had tended harta, had she not? her scent was not threatening upon the wind, laced with that of the dark woman's own. zoug only wondered if she would remain.
