Ashton took a few more moments to look over Peregrine, but it seemed that there wasn't much else to do for the time being. The healer was optimistic and believed that the blindness would be temporary; Elwood certainly hoped so. He couldn't imagine what life would be like for Peregrine without full use of his vision -- and how would it affect the rest of the pack as well?
By this point, Peregrine appeared to be more than ready to head home. Elwood gave his head a bob with a tight-lipped smile as the Alpha thanked him, then watched as Pantaleimon presumably began to escort Peregrine back to the rendezvous site. Only after the pair had shuffled away did he move, turning to Ashton briefly. "Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help him," he said; he would be happy to keep Peregrine stocked in veggies if that was what would move his healing along. He then took his own leave, heading directly towards his own den to tell Finley what had happened.az
