All Welcome
The whole world was really weird and Milton had never seen things like that before. He kind of remembered having been there. He remembered Tina. Tina had been so pretty and even though she had been kind of spicy, Milton really liked her. He had a crush on her. Even though she had left him alone and he had not seen her for a really long time because she was probably busy or something he still really liked her and he missed her and he wanted to tell her how pretty she was again.

Milton had wide eyes when he saw some of what had happened to world. It almost made him cry because that place was so beautiful and it didn’t deserve to have bad things happen to it. One time he had learned that bad things happen to good people and that never made sense to him but he thought he understood when Tina almost let him drown. It was a good thing he did not drown.

Milton walked through the forest and hummed a song to only himself because he was the only one around.
Niamh made my avatar! She is very nice.

She had learned a very important lesson: if you find a puppy alone in the world, turn around and walk the other way. Whatever the outcome of her interaction with Crow, the yearling had decided it just wasn't worth the risk of pissing off a nearby guardian... no matter how altruistic her motives had been in asking if he had needed help, nor how well-intentioned her swift correction of his shitty manners. It screamed against her instinct to protect the small, but her sense of self-preservation was too strong to want to risk a fatal misunderstanding.

So, Treepie followed the river south until she found herself back under the cover of trees. Breathing deep with a slightly open mouth, she could taste the tangy, dusty, metallic scent of ungulate. A herd lived here, though there was no sign that they had been nearby any time recently. Still, Treepie remained alert. If she happened upon a stag, it would not fear a solitary wolf.

As she moved deeper into the wood, a soft humming floated in the air. Treepie followed it.
