Open to anyone who wants to join a pack
Wallace was walking for a long time, whole days. He hadn't encountered any wolves, though he repeatedly caught the scent of his brother, Sunspots. He supposed that he would already have encountered a pack, but the truth was that the orange wolf didn't care what his brother did or didn't do.
Walking, he caught the scent of several wolves, but quickly moved away. Although he had always been dominant with his littermates, facing an unknown wolf was something very different. Besides, he hadn't traveled that much for that.
At last, he arrived at Panther Park. He looked around, and he liked what he saw. It was a flat place, without many trees, and a wonderful view. Satisfied, he moved forward with his nose to the ground to sniff and noticed that the ground was beginning to lighten until it turned a yellowish shade, like sand. The grass disappeared and gave way to a large expanse of water. Wallace crouched down and gratefully began to drink from the crystalline substance. He was cold, and it gave her a shiver of pleasure. When he got up, he thought he saw a wolf in the distance, on the other side of the lake, but he paid no attention to it.
He kept walking, and then decided that he wanted this to be his territory. He found a lonely bush and, raising his paw, marked it. Then he continued to crouch forward, something that would easily be taken as a sign of submission, but he did it to leave the whole place impregnated with his strong and easily recognizable scent.
In a moment, the grass became softer and more pleasant to the touch, then Wallace lay down and rolled on the ground, content simply to be alive and to have found a new home. Almost instantly, he stood up with messy, dirty hair and lifted his head to howl. It was a powerful and meaningful howl: he was looking for other wolves for his pack.
