Fox's Glade It smells like hell

Rowyn found himself further away from home than he had traveled in sometime. And it was not anything that meant anything. He just simply wanted a change of pace. The changing of the guard so to speak. he would return before nightfall or a day or two he hoped. IT would depend on who he encountered and what brought him around.

He stopped to sniff at things and peruse quietly, cautiously, curiously.

The doe had spooked before he even knew she was there, bolting through the pines. Marius only looked in her direction when he heard the crash of her torso through brambles, and by then she was only the white triangle of a tail.

His attention was fixed now in that animal way, focused on the movement in his surroundings in case another target might make themselves known. He did not see anything else resembling a potential meal; bully for Marius, who had not had a decent meal in at least a week.

As he came around a bend in the foliage - which opened up momentarily to allow for more light and more space - he saw a young man. No, it was a boy! They looked young enough to be genderless, long-legged and not all that appealing one way or the other.

Boy! He proclaimed confidently — Do you know this place? I am hungry, I would like to hunt something. Perhaps he could urge the boy to help him in this way - or maybe together they could find something of value. It was not beneath Marius to teach others, especially if the payout for a lesson meant a full belly.
