All Welcome
aw! <3
As the heavy burden of her shared moment with the pearl lingered still, and Moonglow's acceptance felt as distant as the stars above, Agana wandered once more beneath the pale embrace of spring. Soon, the world would bloom with new life; not only the earth but the packs as well.
It was in this season that she, too, once carried life within her, belly swollen as she tread upon the familiar paths of Sawtooth. Yet there had been no mate beside her, no loving embrace to soften the burden she bore. A child born out of wedlock, a shame her parents would never forgive. She had not been raised to walk this path alone, and still, fate had carved this sorrow into her bones.
She thought herself free of such longing. Yet, as the earth awakened around her, the argent could not help but dream of what was never meant to be: of love, of family, of a union beneath the stars.
With a quiet sigh, Agana pressed forward, golden gaze sweeping over the field where delicate flowers had begun to bloom. Life always found a way. Even where her heart could not.
Perhaps... the pearl would smile if she brought her these.
Lowering her slender muzzle, she brushed her nose against the petals, her mind drifting far from the present. So lost in thought, she failed to notice the world that watched from the shadows.

If he was going to build a thriving business in these wilds, he would need deeper connections than simply the moon tribes. Although they were his closest kin, Mojag knew from his experiences abroad that he would need to seek out and establish relations with many other people, of many cultures, so that he might gather rare things fit for trade.

That said—he was reluctant to leave the shadow of the mountain. His sister Ajei was here, and he still had to meet the man she intended to marry; he knew he must seek out Kukutux at some point and make his return known to her; there was also the matter of his dwindling supplies. While he had managed a few trades, he had not gotten much as payment except a few stories... And that wasn't as worthwhile for him as a physical thing that could then be bartered some other time.

It was with this in mind that he embarked from his camp. He left his bear-skin slung across some bushes, and his various items of importance buried in neat little caches so they would not be disturbed. He went out from the base of the Ouroboros intending to stretch his legs and, perhaps, find a bite to eat.

Before long he saw the shape of a wolf, and slowed his pace. He watched them for a few minutes to determine if they were a danger—but they appeared to be docile, and hunting for something. Their focus was on the ground rather than the fields around them. With a small boof uttered, so as not to surprise the stranger, Mojag made his approach.

He kept his tail mostly limp, except the bobbing of the end, as a friendly, wordless "hello".

Agana had not lingered long before a presence pulled her from her thoughts. She lifted her head just slightly, golden eyes settling upon the approaching figure; a brown-coated male, his steps measured and unthreatening.
Her tail tip gave the faintest twitch in acknowledgment, and a small, practiced smile graced her lips. „Hello,” she murmured, voice soft, almost absent, before turning her attention back to the flowers at her paws.
She carefully gathered a few between her teeth, setting them aside with quiet precision. Later, she would sort them, arrange them just so. For now, her focus returned to the stranger, a hint of curiosity flickering in her gaze as her brows knit together ever so slightly.
„Are you from around here?” she inquired at last, her tone polite but measured, careful not to let too much intrigue slip through.

Ah! He saw as he was near to her now, the fixation upon the flowers. In the coming days more growths would stand tall and bloom; he would be mindful of this, and perhaps collect some bundles which people might enjoy.

Are you from around here? The woman asked as she tended to this wild garden.

I was born to Moonglow. I am Mojag, son of Shikoba the Star Hunter. He had been taught to say this as a boy, and while he should have included his father's name as well, it did not occur to him because his mother had been everything while she had been alive.

He mentioned Moonglow and then took notice of Kukutux' scent upon the woman. You are from the village? A smile, and low sweep of his tail.

Golden gaze lingered on the delicate flowers before shifting to him, wam and inquisitive. There was a gentleness to his voice, the way he carried his lineage.
„I am,” she confirmed, her voice soft, yet sure. „The village has been my home for some time now.” Her tail brushed idly at her hocks, a quiet acknowledgment of his greeting. „I am Agana, by the way.” Moonglow had not been her home for long, yet she carried it in her heart as if it always had been. As for the moonwoman’s scent on her fur… that was another story she was not quite ready to share.
She studied him for a moment, the way his name carried weight, the pride woven into ‘son of Shikoba the Star Hunter’. There was a story there, one she did not yet know; „It is good to meet you, Mojag,” a small smile curved her lips, „You mother’s name carries strength. She must have been a great woman. Was she interested in the stars as well?” She let her quiet passion for astronomy slip into the open, yet she did not mind. Perhaps Mojag would join her one night; scaling the peaks or wandering to the ocean’s edge, to witness the stars in their full splendor.
