AW! Mini hunt?
Bazi was only getting larger -- a simple statement he did well to keep to himself, should she take it the wrong way. He worried about the mini-army she was seemingly brewing inside of her.. and how in the world they would feed them all. Paar had rounded up her brood and taken off -- actions that had gutted the regal male as he had watched his best friend and his two foster children fade to nothing more than a speck in the distance.. but he did not have time to brood. He needed to move forward -- and in turn, untie Nova Peak, for it had been far too quiet these days.
His creamy paws nimbly strode to the thicker recesses of The Northwoods, his eyes gleaming as they cast about the shrouded forest. The caches were not as well stocked as the Creek had been -- the pack was small still, and his pack mates were still seemingly becoming familiar with their new home.
Deciding to remedy this, the Alpha lifted his muzzle to the sky, releasing a sharp barking summon to those nearby.. to see if he could rally a wolf or two for a small hunt. They had a very pregnant she-wolf to look after.

The Northwood were diffrent from what Tryphon was used to, so he had spent a few hours -between jobs of course - exploring them. Bazi had told him to find a more substantial river when she had accepted him, and upon finding the rest of the Bitcurrent, he realized why. The tiny creek was.. sort of pathetic. He was nosing around the creeks end point when a summoning howl hit the air; its origin was very close already, and Tryphon was eager to help. The boy arrived beforethe other wolf finished, and stood waiting.

His call was answered quickly – much quicker than he would have anticipated. With youthful eagerness, a silver male found him within moments, and the regal cinnamon wolf studied the silver and golden wolf with a stoical mask. He was not above instilling a bit of fear in to his newer subordinates – until they proved they were of the loyal variety, at least.. the way Kieran and Falwasi had.
“What’s your name?” It was a simple question, and his gleaming aqua eyes fell upon the youth, waiting for an answer. It was encouraging to know their numbers were raising, if only slowly. It meant more wolves patrolling borders, and more large hunts. The puppies, when they were born, would need a large family to aide them.

Not knowing that he stood next to someone of such great importance - to the pack as well as his lost family - Tryphon did not bother to introduce himself with any vigor. He waited for the summons to conclude, and was idly watching the surroundings for others of the pack which might arrive, when Scimitar's attention drifted to him. The boy seemed a bit startled (he always did, apparently), when the man's voice reached him; Tryphon turned to look at him, and then quickly looked down at his own paws.
"Tryphon. I'm new." He muttered, answering the question and sharing a very obvious fact. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been around a man of such presence; Scimitar was quiet and almost sullen in his affect, but his demeanor was unsettling to the boy. Still, there was something... familiar. The feeling was minuscule at best, but Tryphon recognized it from his initial meeting with Bazi. Had he... Met these wolves before? Without thinking about it, the boy's expression had turned in to a concerned frown - almost a caricature of Scimitar, except more broody.

Making a one-post cameo!
By the time she remembered that any call to hunt most definitely did not include her, Bazi had already made the journey. Realization struck as she waddled out in front of Scimitar and Tryphon, meaning that her first words to them was a grouchily spoken "Crap-sticks.." and a look on her face like she'd just sat on a lemon. It was a source of constant disappointment to Bazi that she was virtually useless to the pack. With a sigh and a sad look at her mate, the wolf-turned-beach-ball turned slowly back in the direction she had come and toddled off, pup-hammock swinging. "Bring me back something tasty," floated back to them, "And enormous." If her sole responsibilities were to eat and rest, she would do so with gusto.

Scimitar had not met any of the newer recruits as of late – Bazi or Kaskara had seemingly beat him to all of them, and it was a thought that concerned him.. Nova Peak might have been their fresh start, but it would do none of them good if he became so lax upon the borders. “Scimitar,” he introduced in turn – simple, and to the point.
He would have said more, but the pale form of his mate emerged from the brush, a scowl darkening her features. She seemed to realize what she had walked in to, and with an awkward waddle, began to drift away from them, stirring faint amusement to trace his features. He watched her go, his gaze soon switching to the boy before him, and with a nod in the direction the Alpha Female had gone, his shoulders lifted in a shrug. “You heard the lady,” he muttered, his long limbs stretching out before him as his nose dipped closer to the ground, hoping to catch scent of something that would satisfy his mate.. lest he end up on the sour end of that expression later.
