This was it! She was making a run for it.
She glanced back to her peacefully sleeping mother. @Shiloh stirred, probably now realising she'd crept away.
Heck it. She was going, and if her sister happened to catch her leaving and wanted to follow, then fine.
But she wanted to see where the big ones went and came from.
The opening yawned before her and she easily fit through the short tunnel.
She went quickly, glad she'd learnt to walk. She bounded a few steps every now and again, wanting to get out as quick as possible before being snatched back like usual.
But she'd got this.
And before her lay brightness.
She'd never seen this before.
The world she knew was dark and dim, and seeing was often rather hard for the girl, who was by now definitely blind in her right eye. Well, mostly. The light hit her in her left very clearly, but her right eye? It was a swimming sea of a blur. She couldn't distinguish anything from that eye, and confirmed so by closing her left.
Nevertheless, she had no idea that it wasn't normal, and beings as she'd grown up with only one eye, she still had pretty good spacial awareness - at least for a pup. She stood looking at the light. The stuff that looked like ground fuff, but on further inspection, it wasn't fluff at all.

Mohe hadn't had many excursions on his own. He supposed now was as good a time as any to begin. He was out looking for some sort of trouble to get into. Malila always seemed so relaxed. Mom was always out caring for everyone and father wasn't the wildest card. It was all quite obvious. It was very much up to Mohe to bring in the fun. He had to be that guy.
In the not-too-far distance he made out the small figure of something much like himself. Mini versions of these adults that ran around him. Who was she. He yipped a mighty yip and moved towards her with clumsy lack-of-precision.
"Herro," He was greeted most morning with a soft 'hello' and some term of endearment. Living with those people was nice.
He stared at her from a safe distance and remained every curious. Why did she look like that?

Oh.
She wasn't stopped like she was expected to be. And Shiloh had stopped at the entrance.
Shame. Whatever, she wandered off expecting Howl or Connor to carry her home later.
After a few moments, a voice sounded.
She looked over to the source and found a thing looking like Shiloh but covered in mud.
Weird. Oh wait! Maybe it was another pup? Why hadn't she seen it before though?
It just watched her.
She 'Arrfed' at it.
She stepped back, readying herself to pounce on this stranger, another yip coming from her. The fuck was this? Her tail waved hesitantly. Where was her Mama?

Mohe was curious about this girl. Actually he found it quite rude that she didn't respond to his greeting. He had been so polite! His head turned side to side as she barked at him. She looked like she was backing away, but she also looked like she was lowering herself. Her tail was wagging! It was obvious....
Play!
He lowered the front of his body to the ground and crept towards her. This game he was familiar with. She was more like Malila than himself--he thought.
Too bad!
He pushed his little body forward with all that he could muster in a very obvious attempt to tackle her.

Her uncertainty was pushed into play.
Yeah, ok she can do this.
It was confirmed she was making the right moves when he dropped down too.
Creeping up on her.
She growled, teeth on full show with a sneeze.
And then he lept! She yowled, paws flailing as he landed atop her.
Her teeth nipped for him whilst she wriggled about, not trying too desperately to free herself.

Her growls and cries of protest only encouraged him. They were the shouts of fun! Her teeth grasped for his body as he took her down and he could feel them wrap around his shoulder and the lower parts of his neck. His tail wagged with obvious excitement. It was so nice to have a new friend!
He attempted to grab on to one of her ears with and gently pull. A growl bubbled in his throat and then a laugh. She probably could have gotten away if she wanted to given his lack of coordination. His ears pinned against his head and he dropped her ears and jumped off of her. His body returned to the lowered stance he had previously taken as he waited for her to regain her footing. Mohe: One. Strangely-painted-girl: Zero.

His teeth tugged her ear she yapped in playful anguish, tail thumping on the ground and paws flailing. She probably wouldn't make it as a fighter; not yet anyways.
She did want to save others, yes, but like that? Unlikely.
She laughed too, her jaws wide in a grin, flat on her back.
He let her go at last and she flipped onto her front, head tilted questioningly while giving him a sneeze; the universal signal for play.
She got up, tail wagging uncertainly. What was he doing?
She dropped into a play bow before leaping at him, paws still flying through the air
