the waves were peaceful today, and sirmiq had taken advantage of it through a hunting lesson by @Tullik. he'd always held a natural affinity for the hunt, but as his body and appetite both grew, he began to take the trade more seriously.
he wandered further down the shoreline from his mother when he spotted a nesting sea turtle. typically he would have taken advantage of such a rare and easy opportunity for food, but something held him back. and so instead he plopped himself upon the sand to watch with mesmerized eyes as the creature laid more eggs than he ever thought possible.
