The voice of the other girl brought her sea green gaze to look upon her. Once deemed friendly enough, the child offered her a smile and a steady wag of her tail. “Hello,” she returned, glad to have someone to speak with. Perhaps the wolf was one of the sea, as she was. Muirgen hoped so, but didn't expect anything. So far, she'd met only one who was born from the ocean, and they hadn't exactly seen eye to eye. The girl, who had spoken with a rather thick accent, viewed the sea as a woman, where the selkie saw it to be a man. In the end, the seal had decided to use neutral pronouns when addressing him, so as not to offend or upset the other girl. To keep from something like that possibly happening once again, the speckled girl did not bring of the waves as being truly alive. All she did was smile and greet the light bodied female, who had also seemed to like the salty waters.
“Do you like the sea?” Muirgen asked, finding the question to be a very important one. If someone liked the sea, then they couldn't possibly be a bad person, right? How naïve her young mind was, and how trusting she could be. Some days it seemed as if she shouldn't be permitted to do anything without supervision from a trusting adult. Sadly, though, their was no one there to tell her who was trustworthy and who was not, but in her mind the stranger came off as being a kind soul. “I am Muirgen Selchidh,” she said soon after, not wishing to come off as rude by not giving her name.
