The other wolf seemed bashful, if not outright submissive. He stammered out a question, then another. Peregrine fidgeted impatiently, not wishing to linger here and make small talk with some oddball when his hungry family was waiting for him. But he felt it would be incredibly rude just to walk away without a word and even Peregrine had some semblance of social etiquette.
