Luke was baffled, to say the least. This she-wolf had gone from seemingly friendly, to attacking him over nothing, to practically begging for him to end her life all in the span of a few tumultuous moments. He stared unblinking at her, his fur still raised, ears still pointed and tail still rigid; he was not about to let his guard down again around this irrational, unpredictable female. There was a fragment of burning ire in his skull that tempted him to oblige her request, but he stiffly held his position, his eyes never faltering in their fixation on her.

Luke was by nature exceptionally compassionate, and it was fortunate for her that she did not provoke him further into fury otherwise he would have no mercy for her at all. But for now, her miserable words and the sad voice that spoke them appealed to his kindness, and his fur lay flat and tail hung loosely, but he remained tense and readied and kept his distance. "The only thing that can change that is if you change yourself," he replied evenly.
